Bless your soul this is clear, positive, helpful and realistic. My friends were raging about me and my new/used 2017 Hymer Activ and its cassette toilet. Now I can brag I can dump anywhere and believe you me being around them and their blackwater issues has been as bad as I would expect things to get. It looks like YOU have explained how blackwater is now under our control with the cassette. In fact we can take it all apart and fix broken parts, lube seals, check operations and clean it thoroughly. Seems dumping is as easy as going so .... where is the problem? Right? Thanks again. You made RVing a bit better for me.

Very cool video effect. Makes it like watching a cartoon. And thanks for the excellent explanation on how cassette toilet works. Have yo experienced splash backs when emptying out the full cassette?

Thanks Dima :) No splash backs so far, but I'm careful to tip it over slowly and let some liquid come out before I push that little button.

Not sure if I understand the process...do you leave the cassette closed while you are doing your business and then open the handle and press the water button to flush? If so, wouldn't the blade stay soiled? No experience here so just assumed you would have it open when using. Just found your site and I'm enjoying your videos. Walk thru's are nice but owner/user video's are more informative. Thanks for taking the time.

Stephen, the choice to open the blade before or after doing your business is a personal preference, you are correct in assuming that the way to keep the blade the cleanest is by opening before and then closing it after your water flush. If it does get soiled you can leave water in the bowl after it's closed and this will help clean it. The water flush is not necessary (as in a traditional toilet) but is helpful to dilute the contents and facilitate better breakdown by the digester. People who boondock for extended periods tend to use less water so as to extend the time between emptying the cassette.
