She switches from English to Malayalam when she finds it difficult to complete a sentence in English. She tries to make it appear that the 'switch over' to Malayalam is an act of condescension on her part to reach out to those unfortunate souls in the audience who know only Malayalam. I heard her speak at a function in Delhi where she had no option but to speak in English. It was with great difficulty that she completed her speech.However, it must be said to Malavikaji's credit that she 'embellished' that speech with incorrect English usages and broken sentences.
