Casteism is rampant in urban India 

You are ignoring the fact that while yes caste might still exist in some ways in urban areas but it is greatly reduced compared to rural areas where every facet of the society is dictated by caste. Economic upliftment greatly helps in reducing the ill effects of caste discrimination.

​@@arinddingo because of my surname people didn't really figured out that I'm a Dalit . I told them I'm not a Dalit . I had a chance to blend in and play along with them and some things I heard are just disgusting. I literally heard them saying Marry anyone but not a Muslim and SC/ST. They even said that we ourselves break the statue of Baba Saheb Ambedkar and start riots . One of my sisters friends knew that we are SC but because my sister was better than her at certain subjects she used to come at our home . She used to bring her own tiffin and water bottle saying she is fasting yet her tiffin was filled with everyday food. One day her water bottle got empty and she said she'll get herself water . She started wearing he scarf took the keys and came back with a Kinsley bottle 😂. My mum asked where she went and she said for some work and then popped a bottle . We told her that we have chilled water and she said it's OK, and this happend many times after . We didn't mind thinking we are just reading between the lines,because she comes to our house anyways . And one day , it happened that she blurted out that she doesn't eats or drink from our home because we are dalits. She just can't do it . And her visits reduced significantly , she still use to come by because you know IMAGE . but yeah what can we do . My mother cooks great food , her loss.

Not budhha only but many hindus fought against casteism like swami dayanand saraswati ,swami shraddhanand,vd savarkar also held quite a few small scale movement in Maharashtra against caste discrimination

LMAOX! Buddha fought against caste? If I start showing you buddha sutras that have rampant casteism than maybe you will realize!

but some works are frowned upon. You can still see this attitude in people for blue collared workers. In west there is dignity of labor but not in India. Also in bhagwat geeta alot of castiest statements are made so check that out.

India me dhang se kuch nahi chalta. Have to work with it and improve rather than reject the system itself.

Caste ban karo, reservation kud ban ho jayega. People who fight against reservation don't fight against casteism. Caste is your only identity in life. Nothing else.
