I love how Sam and Dean are both like 'Frickin horsemen and stuff' then Castiel is just standing there like ' om nom nom... famine...nom nom nom'. He's just too adorable! :D
Dean IS affected my Famine but not in hunger of more but in hunger for nothing. He is used to excess, a lot of food, a lot of alcohol, a lot of suffering, a lot of pain, a lot of this and that. He is not hungry (the hamburger) anymore because that's his famine. Yes he is empty and all of that but that's exactly what his craving is, it's nothing, emptiness.
Ash Trancy so, angels don't urinate etc according to Cas, in an episode, and they don't require food, yet they can eat, hence now, and Gabriel, with his sweets. But like wtf happens to it after? Does that shit just poof out of his stomach or what. Like that's a lot of fucking burgers man
My exact question about Sam drinking all that demon blood in the season finale. Like, sure, Famine did tell him he can't die from drinking too much, but he just drank 4 GALLONS in the space of a minute or so. Where did that weight go? Just by volume there isn't space for it.
@@Kevinthewoman Maybe the grace just resets the body to perfect condition. Perfect homeostasis so eating won't effect it. That would be awesome. Eat whatever and never gain weight, be bloated, or have liver failure 😅
Everybody's talking about Dean and Cas (perfectly understandable) but look at Sam's face while Cas explains how Famine works. "Sex...attention...drugs". Sam's an addict and he realizes what could potentially be touched by Famine's effect :'( He knows what that means.
1:24 okay but Cas literally LOOKS AT DEAN WHEN HE SAYS 'LOVE.' So first, he's been refusing to look at Dean all day, other than the phone call in the mortuary, and then when he finally DOES look at Dean again, he pauses, stares Dean in the face, and says that some people in the town are hungering for 'love.' Thank Jack for Misha's acting choices honestly.
houndsofroses Gross as it is, when you're filming and have to eat on camera, you're also given a spitbucket. It's the only way to survive filming. You bite on camera, then spit it all out as soon as you can, and the spitting out is cut out during editing and the finished product comes out with the cutting back and forth between the actor eating and someone else, as seen here.
Wendy Ponce For every scene Cas is eating in, they do minimum five takes, sometimes more than ten. When you eat on in a take, you have to eat in EVERY take. And you have to do the same for the coverage of the other actors. If you actually eat everything you're filmed eating, you'd either get intensely sick, or intensely fat, or both.
he should have just swallowed the sandwiches, and not everyone gets intensely sick or fat or both. There are people out there like me who has what people would call a bottomless stomach where they can eat and eat and eat and eat and eat and not even get full and still be hungry. You also have people who don't get fat/gain weight no matter what they eat, and again I am like that. I can eat and keep eating and still not gain weight no matter what I eat
I love how this is the only episode where Dean isn't shown wanting anything when everyone else is craving for something. Famine gave an uncomfortably powerful argument as to why.
Okay but Sam's face when Cas was explaining famine. Especially after Cas said drugs. Sam knows he can be touched by famines affect, because he was addicted to something.
D: "What are you the Hamburgeler?" C: "I've developed a taste for ground beef" D: "Have you even tried to stop it?" C: "I'm an Angel. I can stop anytime I want" (I recorded it for a ringtone because I found it hilarious)
man misha must have loved this episode!! lol and is the little noise he makes in the first scene when he picks up the plate not the cutest thing you ever heard!!! lol
My favorite line in this whole episode was when Dean asks Castiel "Have you even tried to stop it?" and Cas says "Im a Angel, i can stop anytime i want" LOL
This is the proof my fav person ever dean is without a soul. You will notice how amara tried to eat him but after looking confused, settled for a smooch. This is because to quote famine, " You are already dead inside".
Or maybe Dean was like her favorite ''pet'', like if a human owns a dog or a cat and they were literally starving they still wouldn't do it. She probably changed her mind at the last second, thinking there's no need to permanently erase the one human she likes the most when there are billions of other souls if she just wants a quick snack.
at least Cass's vessel do not complain of never eat something, that hamburger was very yummy, a delicious option to satisfy the hunger although with gluttonery.
