Beckett almost died trapped in the water. The last word she said was Castle. Like Beckett admitted to Castle I almost died and all I could think about was you.
I think this is the single best scene in all the season of Castle. Well written and well acted. I wish we got more scenes of the two of them talking and being honest with each other. After this scene and the fight in Always, the barely talk about their relationship.
This scene and the one at the end of s4 where Castle lays the smack on her again and leaves are my 2 fav scenes. When a funny easy going guy turns serious u know its gonna be some gutwrenching stuff
True that..... because this women will only react when she is pushed to do so especially when it comes to her love life ,we love her stubborn nature but let's be honest only Castle is the remedy/ medicine for that issue...which I kinda love because he is the only person who can check her and help her calm down....it 2022 October 20th and I am still obsessed Help!! I can confirm such women exist IRL too I have a Beckett in my life whose walls I still havent broken through. Its a miserable experience and I dont think its worth it anymore

Castle loved Beckett from the first time he saw her. He had the courage to say it three years after their first met. Beckett loved Castle too, but she didn't want to admit it to herself. She made herself believe that she didn't love him, that she didn't need him. She was wrong! She only understood it the next year. After four years! One of the best scene in Castle. Congratulations!!!
I`ve got to side with Castle on this one. Kate knew he was in love with her but she would never let him get close. Then she has the nerve to throw it in his face during an argument, and then hurt him further by calling him the school`s funniest kid. Not nice, Kate. She`s lucky Castle was determined to win her over. Other`s would have moved on much sooner.....
It's hard to figure out where the writers want to go with Kate's psyche. Sometimes she seems so aloof regarding she and Rick's relationship. I can't recall her ever freaking out when something bad was happening to Rick, like when he had a day to live because of a supposed toxin or exposure to radiation from that bomb. She didn't even seem to concerned when she and Rick didn't see each other for 6 weeks when she was working in DC.I want to see some real life emotion from these two characters and for God sakes stop with the glass of wine at the end of every other episode. That is very annoying...
@@myriem11 he showed that he loved her the first day he came in and saw her and she knew it from the beginning and she felt it, she knew as well as all of her friends they knew they had a connection he was the first man she ever liked after all these relationships she had been in this is the first one that actually made sense so she knew but she decided to build this wall between them
Kate tried to tell Castle she had feelings for him in the season 2 finale. But Rick got back together with his third ex wife. She never got the chance to actually tell him because he was closing himself off from her rejection just like Beckett therapist said. Stop putting the all the blame on Kate when its equally both their faults.
cant help but compare beckett's attitude towards castle here and in "always". the beckett here is freakishly composed and determined that all she cares about is bringing her mom justice,hence the totaly nonchalant "now get out". one season later, she adds castle to the list of things she cant giveup. cant wait for season 5!
One of the many things I like about this scene is that becketts internal feelings are forcefully coming to light coz I am guessing in her head she is like ( crazy man I am in love with you ,why are you not including yourself in the list of people that love me hahh excuse me explain yourself) thats why she asked what about you rick, which makes me love this scene even more because this proves that she can't control her feeling towards her future manzzz ...and I kinda like that because she is so drawn to him.....and I am living for every second of it....btw Castle come back to the question of "is that what we are" is the......BEST👌👌👌👌
I love how Nathan and Stana played this and the attempts at using hurt to force their masks off. Then I started picturing what could have been...superb scenes similar to this that Nathan and Morena Baccarin could have been given as part of their character's UST. Not to get all Browncoat fanboy on this, but much as they were different shows, Richard Castle and Malcolm Reynolds show just how well Nathan plays masked men...those who use humour or cruelty to hid their inner natures :D

The other show I was referring to was 2002's "Firefly", a short-lived sci-fi/western hybrid on FOX where Nathan played a Han Solo-like character named Malcolm Reynolds. He had feelings for Morena Baccarin's Inara Serra, a "Guild Companion" (basically a government-sanctioned escort/sex therapist), but there was a reverse of Castle and Beckett's early relationship where Malcolm regularly was crass and insulting to Inara due to struggling with being attracted to her but hating her job and her support of the government that he fought against during a civil war 5+ years prior to the series.
How is he right about this... yes Kate is obsessed with her mother's murder, but in the end she's right about this being her life and her decision! And on top of that he's the one, who brought her mom's case back up (against Kate's will)...
@@kn-zm3yj Castle has always been right about everything. That is why in s4 ending Beckett comes over his place after damn near dying and tells him all she wants is him. Sometimes life has to hit u real hard to see the truth
I think Kate was AFRAID of being with Castle because in seasons 1/2 he was indeed a PLAYER. Beckett never felt this way about anyone, not Will, Demming or Josh only CASTLE. SHE NEVER HAD A INTENSE FEELINGS FOR A GUY WHERE THEY ALREADY HAD AN EPLICABLE CONNECTION/BOND that's what made her scared a real SERIOUS relationship.

They both wasted so much time and not telling each other sooner how much they really truly love 💕 each other at least Richard didn’t waste time when he told Kate he loves her in season 3 finale when she was shot, the weird part is that she didn’t tell she loved him back instead she forgot it ever happened and that’s the worst thing she’s ever done to him but he forgave her later for it but it was still so awful of her doing so too ✅
She was shot!!!! Register the fact that Kate was dying and in shock, she couldn't focus on what Castle was saying to her because she on the verge of DYING!!!!! Pay attention and stop blaming Kate on this.
Actually she admits it in interrogation with someone a few episodes later. She just didn’t know that Castle was listening. Later on, I think S4 EP16 he tells her that she knew all along what he said the day she was shot

But if your person is truly the beckett to your castle and that person is not affecting your mental health in a major bad way then maybe the patience one day will be worth it, just make sure you r putting your health (mental and physical) first before any other person because you can't help each other out if yall r both drowning .....ps I know its none of my business just thought I could share
