Behemoth themselves has stated that making sequels is not a top priority and is actually discouraged as they like to make their games out of passion and not for a quick buck. The only exception to this is the game pit people but it is only very loosely connected to battle block theater gameplay wise.

I also want them to release castle crashers 2 because it's an excellent 4-player game that I have a great time with my brothers passing their story on a ps3 (I'm Latin American)

i want them to remaster it AGAIN, its already been 7 years and we waited less than 7 years for the first remaster, they need to give every character their own unique magic instead of *ArROw RAiN* or *DaGgER* , or maybe make it easier to mod, they know the game still popping off with an active community, at least way more than their other games so COME ON GIVE IT TO US!!!

I love the behemoth and it makes me so sad that people only care about castle crashers. Like I love it and I have been playing it since I got it on my 360 and I still play it pretty frequently but I easily rank Pit People and Alien Hominid Invasion above it. I get it's their most popular game but I really wish people would give their other stuff a chance. Honestly Invasion feels like Castle Crashers 2 in a lot of ways with the four player co-op, weapon variety and bosses. Now that I think about it it's kinda just Castle Crashers with guns. I mean that's a little reductive it has a lot more depth and features than Castle Crashers. But you get the point. Honestly Castle Crashers is so simple I don't think they could even make a proper sequel that doesn't just feel like more characters without changing up the gameplay to a degree I don't think people would like. Castle Crashers feels like a product of it's time and I don't think they could do a sequel justice without losing the simple gameplay that made it so great in the first place. Honestly I hope Invasion gets the attention it deserves, it's easily their best game yet. I can understand why Pit People flopped, personally I loved it but it was a big departure from their normal formula and I think early access/poor multiplayer options killed it before it really got a chance. But to all the people that want Castle Crashers 2 seriously give Invasion a shot, it has a simple gameplay loop similar to Castle Crashers but with the added complexity of movement/build variety. It's definitely not Castle Crashers 2 but it is an extremely fun game that I would love to see get more attention.

they did confirm they wont be doing it, which sucks, and im not sure why, but they did say if they did release castle crashers 2 then there wouldnt be battleblock theater. so i guess its worth it

And Behemoth stated they want to make original content, not make sequels to their games, which I’m saying that’s a smart move, considering most company’s that are making sequels(gta 6 doesn’t count, because it may be good if people are hyped about it) suck, but let’s say the likes of COD, the new MW games suck, alongside some others, and Behemoth may fear they may lose their community if they made a good sequel but is hated because of this and that. TLDR, it’s perfect as it is.
