Say what you will about the game, but the music is peak Castlevania. (When it's there, anyway.) This theme is a haunting masterpiece that sets the tone expertly.

I forgot about this song! It would take me forever to hit that start button

This song has stuck with me all these years and I catch myself humming it from time to time

It's been almost 20 years since I played this game for the first time and I'm still moved by this melody to this day. And there are still those who say that video games are for children. I am only grateful for so many titles that moved me and provided me with joy and moral values. The Legend of Zelda, Bioshock, Castlevania, I am Setsuna, Chrono Trigger, FFXII, Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Colossus (and Agro), Titanfall 2... The list is huge. I could stay here until tomorrow and I wouldn't be able to express in words how rich I feel thanks to each of these titles that are part of me now, they will always be in my heart. P.S.: I love your performance! That's was amazing. You play with your soul, I can see.That's so beautiful. You must love what you do. Congratulations, may God preserve this gift in the name of Jesus, amen.

All these years later and that lonely violin still brings a tear to my eye. You can feel the weight of Dracula's curse in this song. A melancholy menagerie of mysterious melodies. It is as chilling as it is beautiful.

Every time my brother played this game he'd call me over so we could hear this intro together. Once it was over I would run out and back to wherever I had been because it creeped me out. He always let the whole thing play.

Oh I always found that Melody so beautiful as a Child, I always let the entire intro play before playing the game. I never finished the game because the n64 memory pack which deleted the save files over and over again! :D

I never had this game growing up, but I wish I did. After trying it out, I feel like it received unfair judgment. I haven't had much issue getting used to the camera, platforming and combat. I feel for the people who played this when it came out and enjoyed it, it doesn't deserve harsh treatment. And thank you for this wonderful cover! edit: I wish that your solo section in the later half was part of the original soundtrack, every time I boot up the game, it feels like it's missing something without it.

You hit me right in the heart strings! This game use to freak me out as a kid but I was just too fascinated to stop the experience. Also didnt have a rumble pak so I kept the system on for days to keep progress x) Bravo!!

This is the first video game song I ever fell in love with. I think I gave that game more time than I should have because of this intro song. It made me want to learn how to play violin when I joined my middle school band. (unfortunately, I played trombone instead because my parents already had a trombone, and all the violins we could find were too expensive.) I am so glad I found it again after all these years, and I think your version of it might very well be the best one out there.

I heard this song in an obscure Minecraft video themed around Castlevania a couple days ago, it doesn't have many comments and was uploaded a decade ago. It has this song in it, and it is so beautiful to me. No name was given in the video. The only clue I know about this song is that it might be OST of Castlevania LoD, which it is not. I spent hour try to go through Castlevania LoD's OST to no avail and had to give up. And today RU-vid recommend this video to me! Thanks RU-vid algorithm!

It's wonderful to see someone have a sense of love for the old Castlevania 64. Elitists tend to hate on it because it's a big change from the usual 2d platformer, but this game had so much more to offer from story telling aspects to the musical score and art. I use to leave Castlevania 64 on the start screen just so I could listen to this song as I did things throughout the house. Thank you for replaying it with such veracity!

Man...this masterpiece...it is one of my favorite Castlevania OST's and I have more that I like, but this one just hits you differently. And you played it really well too! Love the cosplay too btw.
