In Singapore,the Indians and Malays are treated horribly by the Chinese. In schools the Chinese teachers and principal, dean of junior college are a huge oart of the problem.So racist.
Teach my children stop being hyper sensitive over such things thereby take things to extreme; being better educated doesn't mean one need to draw finer lines. Teach my children stop being WEAK minded, and blame the environment for ones inefficacy and inadequacy. Teach my children stop being too positive outlooking and embrace negativities too; to widen and broaden range of acceptance. Yes, Casual Racism doesn't appear recently does not mean it has not been there, however it being not there is a good thing in the past; Why rock the boat with your calibrated Richter scale? I love Singapore. I live in Australia. And I am a minority. Thank you telling us your stories. It’s something I’ve always known and there is a solace in knowing that I am not alone. Such a microcosm of cultures in the quintessential definition of a melting pot. I am sure we will get to that enlightened day but it will take the effort of all of us to get there. Cheers!
