So I got to school the next day, went up to one of my friends and said "your mom is fat" and then just didnt say the punchline. I didnt know we needed one so i just randomly told my friend that his mom was fat. I got lectured by the principal

The reason why internet memes die after becoming too popular are because they're created as inside jokes, and it's no longer funny once everyone's inside on the joke.

I know that more than a few people (on tumblr) would very much object being considered average or on the same level as instagram or twitter I do appreciate this casual breakdown of memes. I get chuckles from the more specific types of memes and when people post the so relatable type meme I can't tell if they're unfunny or if I'm too far down the meme hole

At this point memes are a literally integral part of my life, seeing as ever since I’ve been around I have used them on a daily basis. Memes are arguably a better representation of gen Z culture than anything else. Music and art are becoming memes, shows and games are becoming memes. It’s so unique, because gen Z is the first generation to grow up in the meme era. It’s amazing.
