I was unwilling to play this video because people say things that I already knew but this video had some important tips that I will use. Thank you for making this video.
In short 1)Choose RC asper ur strength 2)Try elimination method 3)try to attempt fact based questions 4)Find which stategy works for you! Anything more to add mam?
Worth investing 20 mins on this video❤…..Will try my level best to keep this points in my mind & use it to its full potential from tomorrow’s varc sectional test till Cat Day!!
Hi, so my attention span was very low and I focused on improving this first to improve my varc section because my mind would wander elsewhere while reading the passage. I solved 3 rcs every day for like 2 months straight and saw improvement. but right now as the exam is near I'm back at the same place where I was 3 months back (talking about my attention span) i am not sure if it's the exam jitters or what. I have been scoring pretty well in the other 2 sections but varc is not working for me. can you suggest something?
Thanks for sharing the tips✨...can you please share what average score you used to get in Times's mocks? Or what score should I expect there, as the Times's aimcat seems to be very hard
Can u plz share the video about option elimination in VARC and how to increase reading speed with proper understanding which u are talking in the video
Can you make a short video on just how to skim through the passage and attempt the questions/ apply any one strategy and attempt any 1 RC fir us in the video.
Also, just want to know what are the benifits of doing previous year papers for each section? Can you make a short video on it as well? I hope that can also add to your topic list for videos :))
Current topic list is about 20 videos to go before January. The benefit mainly is to 1. understand difficulty levels. 2. see the trends (wrt topics). 3. understand the type of questions so that you can reuse a formula/tip/shortcut/trick to solve faster if it repeats (it repeats a lot)
Hi Dii, Can you suggest me How can I improve my English Communication and Can speak fluently, Please reply or Please give a roadmap for better communication
Just came here after scoring -3 in varc... Will edit this comment after my next mock score Edit - yes a little better😅.... attempted 12, Correct 7, score 18🙂....I still need to do better
Hi can you give any tips about how to select the correct RC ? It has happened with me that I selected a RC....read throughout and then at the end was not able to answer the question of RC but then leaving that RC i chose other RC and did that one completely correct
I look at the first line of the passage to see if I understand the language and find the topic interesting, look at the length, then look at the questions - no., direct or inference, etc. and choose
Thanks for this video , I have a doubt , that is when u skim through the para how would you able to answer main idea and some inference based questions which are really tricky(where some filler words really makes sense). Please help me out with this .....
Mam Im scoring Varc in range of 25 to 30, my target is 40+, Rc im getting almost 10 correct but Va part the accuarcy is pretty low, pls help with few tips pls Mam
Hello. In these last few days, I'm just trying to give 1-2 sectionals a day of VARC. Although sectionals generally go well for me, I'm not consistently achieving that mark in Mocks. Should I look forward to making a change in preparation strategy or continue with the same?
@@priyacray I’m unable to attempt more than 12que like 2 rc and 3/4 va that’s it i need to reduce my per RC time for me it is now 15 mins Plss suggest some methods
In skimming strategy we will need to skim through the passage quickly and, read each question and then for each question we have to move back to the passage, am I right? If tes, then won't it take a longer time?
Mam Ive been preparing for like since 6 months now I feel I won’t be able to get 99 percentile . Varc which I thought is my strength my scores are too poor in that there is not a single section which is my strength it’s too demotivating any last minutes drills which I can give a shot?
You don't have to get any one section perfect! 97%ile in each section is still a 99%ile overall! For last minute drills - do past year papers as mocks!
Hi, while attempting VARC section I feel I get distracted in the first 10 mins of the section but after that my accuracy/attempt rate is good. Is this something that is common among people? If yes, then how to avoid this in the exam as it affects the score dearly. I am scoring in the range of 25-40
I have a cheeky mindset trick for this which I will share in a video this week. In short, start reading earlier in the day. Read your CAT instructions as if they are also a part of VARC.
Hey dee... Have you ever came across a person who is from humanities background (Excepts economics and math's) core humanities knowledge based subjects like English Literature or History. I know there are high chances but do you know anyone personally??
@@priyacray thankyou soo much... you won't believe I was struggling to get more than 10 questions correct in VARC but then I saw your video and as per your suggestion I started to do it quickly rather than spending a lot of time on single question and I realized that if I don't know how to tackle certain type of question I end up marking it incorrect irrespective of how much time I spend on that question. So your video helped me alot.. thanks
can you please share the video link of shabana maam explaining the 14 tricks of option elimination as you said in your video. I am not able to find it specifically.
Didi,I need some guidance I am preparing on my own... In Quants sectionals or during mocks,I can attempt 16-17 question with full confidence that I have done them right but when the scorecard comes,I see 3-4 ques being wrong due to silliest mistakes (either calculation or something like y=1,2 and marking y is an odd natural no. Instead of marking y is a natural no.) I mean i fall from 98-99 to 93-94 even after knowing and solving everything... This has been happening from past 3-4 mocks/sectionals And I cant find a way out of this. Everytime I think beforehand that this time I wont commit any such mistake but end up doing it unknowingly And even if I slow down to be extra careful, it will cost my attempts/marks... What to do now Please suggest something🙏🙏
Hey ! I was facing similar issues, so when I stated the same to my mentor, she just smiled and said "You cannot get your silly mistakes to be zero in that time and scoring pressure, start writing those mistakes on a notepad after every mock of yours, you can surely reduce them, focus on accuracy being 80-85% and above, if you are able to maintain that then you are good, rest it depends on the D-day as well. Pat on back !!"
You can do what I did in the quant section. I would allocation 1 minute to each problem. Minimum. Irrespective of how quickly I solved it. This would force me to either slow down or recheck for errors
You know when you talking about tips to improve attempt rate I make notes but suddenly you say you gave notes on telegram channel I like it So thank you For this I m so happy 😊
