great video,,, over here uk,,, do not see a lot of graders,,, or scrapers,,,seem to dozer everything into piles ,,, to move by dumper later,,, love to see a how to video on scrapers/graders,,,
Excellent catch. You're working with the older grader technique - no full automatic system where you can sit in anybody with no experience in a grader. Nice job. All the best from Germany.
Even GPS equipped machines will not make a good grader operator. There are too many things to manually control still and you have to know how to work the dirt and where to push it!
wailnshred I know some people in product development for cat and trust me... big changes coming on their next lineup of graders.. serious game changers. I can only tell you about the automatic grader bounce control, the rest is secret.
If you watch him turn around it's tilted pretty far back, during the video it's deceptive because the blade is half buried and you're seeing the bracket for the GPS post.
The heel (trailing edge) of the blade. Doing a hard cut like this you angle your blade as much as you can to get the dirt off your blade quickly. In this case the blade is only a few inches in front of the rear tire so I am checking to make sure I'm not running over the windrow and the blade hasn't pushed back into the rubber.
vantagetes Good job!!!!! I work motor grader in poland. I earn in poland in operator motor grader 3 dollars per hours!!!!!!! How much You earn per hour on motor grader?
Tom Hoffman The subgrade is too wet so we are pulling it out (first grader) and passing it over into a windrow. Once all of the subgrade is out the dirt will be conditioned and put back in and packed. The multiple graders gets it done faster rather than one grader having to do 4 passes.
