Kristie Vanthul Thank you I hope this information helpful for somebody caterpillar could not figure out this problem and I’ve been chasing this for long time
@@arsentrucking7883 l have question which engine is best for peterblit 379 caterpillar engine is good, detroit engine is good, or other engine is good for peterbilt 379 waiting for comment.
Came across your video a few weeks ago and just today I bought this sensor and o-ring from KW and was $250. I hope I can tell the difference on my next trip out. I took my truck out last week for the first time and seemed to idle/run fine but with a load going up a steep hill it shimmied a little. I also noticed my pyro getting up to 1000 degrees really easy so I found out my exhaust was almost clogged so I straight piped it and seems to breathe better. Hope this sensor will help too. Will update!
Pretty soon I have to record another video regarding accert cat. A lot of people been asking me some random questions I didn’t realize how Popular this video would become😃
@@arsentrucking7883 yes sir! I’m excited to try this out. I hit the road Monday doing the exact same route so I should be able to feel the difference. I found location very easily. I asked my mechanic about this sensor and he didn’t know anything and/or symptoms about it. They are just like what you stated in your other video about if there is no light then there nothing wrong. Thank your time for your video. My first semi and cat so I’m trying to learn everything I can about it.
I have a 5ek that's been running funny. But one of my wierd symptoms is the water temp is erratic on the ecm sensor. Replaced the temp sensor twice but notice it makes a difference at what altitude im at. I also replaced the wiring harness. All started after overhauling
Thanks for your video. My CAT C15 6NZ barometric pressure sensor is set by Default and reading a constant 14-15 via CAT ET Software. The truck lacks power on a loaded takeoff, other than that no other noticeable difference. I replaced the sensor with a New One, no change. Also no way to check the sensor by a ohm test. If anyone reading this can give me a insight I and everyone reading this would appreciate your knowledge...
Hey bro I got a 1999 2ws got some weird ass noises going on after injector (1) was done had the over head ran twice no luck sounds like a thump coming out of the exhaust almost like the jakes r stuck on or one of the other injectors failed mechanically doesn’t look like rockers cam or valve train is chewed up or fucked up any way to do a diagnoses other then injector cut out because they all pass during a cut out. Thanks. Igor.
@arsentrucking I’ve got a c15 that starts right up, runs for 40 seconds and shuts off. Starts right back up, idles good but won’t run for more than 40 seconds each time. Oil pressure is higher than normal around 80-90 when it normally runs 60 or so at idle. When I unplug the atmospheric pressure sensor the oil pressure is at normal pressure but only runs for 10 seconds or so. Please help
No, it’s not work so then I go to mechanic again he go through everything step by step then he find the problem in fuel which line come from injector to back fuel tank they have air in the fuel lines which is reverse line they he take off the air from the ball joint underneath the bank which connect both fuel tank then he shut off passenger side tank , now problem is solved he suggest me put a new ball joint at the time they don’t have in stock . Before I spend to much money on the motor Cat dealership told me you can change your ecm they problem even cat dealership can’t find the problem , if you want the name of the mechanic ask me
teachers a question? I have a Caterpillar C12, since a year ago the injectors have been changed 5 times and just a week ago, the mitor was completely repaired, the injectors were changed again, Caterpillar injectors, and the engine continues to give the same problem , injector failure, any response, I will be grateful, greetings from Guatemala 🇬🇹
@@rubelotero6023 i would try the atmospheric sensor i changed all my fuel lines the injectors the transfer pump the primer pump all the check valves and couldnt fix the problem until i replaced the atmospheric sensor
@@walterfunes8927 i will try it this week but I will not know the results for a few months it must be loaded and their is no work in winter months Thanks
I have my check engine light on and was told it was the high pressure sensor and to change i have to install new one and re program is that correct or what would you recommend I do could I just simply replace it and leave it as is
I have suspicious about this sensor u talk about. Im struggling with a custumer truck is a c12 .long tim ago i was on the same similR problem .with a international engine .thath eas the problem so i goind to check this sensor to .let see thank for remember me this issue
I remplaces the sensor in me caterpillar c15 before have the problem you have engine when to many miles you need remplaces especially when you driver over the road. I drive me truck local only now to me I doing better money for me staying home 🏡 daily
Hey, I got a caterpillar 6NZ with low power boost, I removed the atmospheric pressure sensor and I found oil on the sensor and in the sensor mounting hole and I'm wondering if that's normal. Can you tell me if you found oil on your sensor when you removed it? Please and thank you.
@@arsentrucking7883 Thank you for the reply I really appreciate it. I was wondering if there's any email I could send you a video of the oil coming out of my pressure sensor mounting hole so you could tell me if you think its still normal. Any further assistance will be deeply appreciated, Thank you in advance.
Any body experiencing a flutter/misfire at low rpms, goes away at higher pressure with boost. Gets worse on hotter days and obviously under a load? Feels kinda like a dirty filter my filters are new from CAT (C156NZ)
I have a Cat C7 acert, and i been getting engine code for Barometric pressure fault code: SPN-108 i don't see any issues driving, do you know where will this sensor located on the engine?
Hii , my c9 accert had same problem error code 274- 4&3 atmospheric pressure sensor current issue, I replaced the sensor but fault code is generating Plz help me to solve the problem
My 6NZ stumbles when applying fuel gently in high elevations or during low oxygen days. Even after fuel filter changes. Its been idling rough as of late. Its not throwing any codes. Just does not respond at the begining of fuel peddle pressure. Sometimes it will cut out. Alway thought it might have to do with barometric pressure. I guess ill try it. Thanx👍
