I have a 12 yr old male tabby and I swear he is the sweetest cat ever he cleans and cuddles my other cats and he absolutely loves my 3 yr old chug Daisy he is always cuddling her or cleaning her.

@@bcarss1970 there is a scientific reason actually. Dogs are the only other animals that got more active muscles in their face compared to passive muscles. This is one of the evolution characteristics they got from their long relation with humans. They got our facial expressions, to communicate with us (and so that we liked them... the sympathetic ones survived more in our care and obviously the better comm when in danger) plus barking and evident/easy to translate for us tail/body movements to express their states. They are selected by nature (men included) to better sync with us and our understanding, therefore the contrary it's also true. Humans understand them, their body language, their face. All the other animals have a majority of passive facial muscles instead. (See in this video the muscles surrounding the eyes of the dog, how much they move compared to the cat's).

The thing is that cats babysit other cat friends litters frequently. And remember the video clips where a mama cat carries her kittens to a doggy friend and goes off for a little while to rest and eat!

Absolutely! I've had two and they're incredibly intelligent. Trainable too. Mine would fetch, sit, and one of them learned to go outside on the patio and stay there. She doesn't set a foot outside that little open patio and then she just comes in through the mosquito net when she's had enough lol
