Cat Dental Disease: Feline Stomatitis Remedies 

My cat is currently going through this. Thank you!

My cat's tongue is red and bleeds, his gums are not the problem. Vet gave antibiotics but didn't help. Wondering if your cats tongue was affected as well or just the gums. Thank you.

Where did you buy all these things? I am not in the US, so dont know where to get it. My cat lost 1 tooth already, and tge vet said he needs a full mouth extraction.😢 but i cleared it with antibiotics and anti inflammatorues, not a permanent solution.

I'm happy to read that your cat has done well without the teeth removal.My Cat began running from her food as if hurting from eating. Ive had two diagnosis but since we asked first for pain med plus steroids she's gone back to eating no bleeding yet and is still great at cleaning her fur nicely. What I'm being told is I have to do total extraction high cost 1,900 to 3,400 ! Outrageous and I'm on SSI I have no money am a senior but both Clinics want slot to remove teeth without asking me how she's doing with steroid shots . What do you recommend I'm lost trying to understand stomatitus if a cat can do without teeth removal ? She's 4 a rescue cat that last yr began having issues . Can you please explain some challenges you faced because it sounds like your cat is doing well so far ...Appreciate your input I'm losing sleep over this . Except the canines??? They literally extracted all teeth except my cats canines & a year later he’s having the same issue & pain. Now I have to pay for another extraction? I shouldn’t have to when I asked for a full extraction. I am so frustrated. That vet def needs to be more open minded

Coconut oil is know. I learned last month to kill a bacteria in our mouth that causes bad breath and plaque on our teeth and it's good to gargle it will reduce those bad bacteria in your mouth just thought I would mention that so it makes since it would help a cars breath as well !! I love learning new things. My cats actually like it and drink it like it's water.

There is no harm experimenting since I also do the same thing with our cats and dogs. They are both mammals anyway and even humans can do the same thing but the dosage will be different. Biohackers have been doing such stuff for years because they don't want conventional medicine.

@@luna-kb2jp he’s doing well. he went to the vet and they prescribed him food. he just got a checkup and his teeth are looking good. he chews on a lot of stuff so i got him lots of toys to teeth on and there’s those greenies chewables.

@@vpss6403 I will put it on both ears, inside and out, in the beginning to maximize the amount they get. I will use it several times a day as well. MSM is made by the body so it’s not a problem if they get a lot. I hope this helps!

In case anyone is reading, the colloidal silver and coconut oil given at night after a last meal and in the morning after a meal with a long pause in between really helped with the pain and inflammation. In 3 days, my cat was able to drink water on his own. I still need to force feed him soft food (or his special hepatic and renal kibble soaked in water for a few minutes to soften the outer part) I administer as if feeding him a pill but being more gentle, letting him swallow it himself instead of shoving it down his throat

@benton benton, Question, what do you feed your cat now? Do you blend all his food so that it's liquid? I have a cat with stomatitis and I want to give him a more liquid diet since he won't have to chew his food. sometimes he won't eat the liquid canned food if I add too much water. Thank you.

@@thisorthat7626 No I don't blend his food. He won't even eat baby food. He eats Sheba tuna cuts, Purina sensitive skin and stomach (dry) and 1 boiled chicken finger breast meat every day. I chop everything into miniscule pieces except the dry food (Purina) and put broth on his ground up chicken breast. Did your cat have his teeth taken out? Or are you trying another way, like what Dr Jones said? After my cat had his teeth taken out, I got him fresh salmon and cooked it for him every day. But even though I picked out all the bones, I worried about bones, so I switched him to the breast meat chicken finger. I think your cat will lead you to what he will eat. As you know, it's so hard with stomatitis to figure out what to do. I was worried he'd have a hard time eating after his teeth taken out, but he does very well. It seems like tooth extraction is the only way for them to live a normal life

Hi Benton, the vet is suggesting teeth extraction for my cat. Can I ask how your cat’s life has been after extraction? Did he have any mental issues and sadness. Does it affect their overall health in the long term ? I am worried about my cat (domestic short hair) because she has very severe gingivitis stomatitis.

Hi. He was fine after the extractions. The only problem is the vet left the 2 canine teeth and they reabsorbed. So make sure your vet takes all her teeth out, not just some. The surprising thing is my boy still ate dry food after - along with his wet/canned of course. He had no depression or anything after the extractions. Animals aren't big babies like people can be. They don't feel sorry for themselves or worry what they look like. The main thing is that your girl is healthy. Stomatitis is horrible. And the extractions do help. I hope it all goes well for you and your little girl. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't let him have dry food until about 6 months after the dental surgery. Problem is, he loves dry food. Now he has ear polyps that is affecting his breathing and has been to 4 different vets to try and solve the problem. No more dry food for him. I've replaced it with real salmon from the fish counter at Whole Foods, no bones of course. I wish you and your sweet girl the best of health and happiness. There is nothing like a cat baby. Our cat was 5 months old and had mouth ulcers .they were very bad. We didn't have money for surgery. I bought collidel silver after watching these videos. . My cat went from sleeping all day and not eating. Now she is herself again ! I can not believe it. The vet wanted to pull her teeth out. And a 25$ bottle saved her life . Simply amazing tbh

Some vets say that even if all teeth were removed, there would still be inflammation on the back and roof of the mouth and tongue, where plaque can still reside.

My cats going in weds to have most of his teeth removed due to stomatitis. They didn’t want to put him under anaesthetic because he has an irregular heartbeat and don’t think he will survive the anaesthetic, but it’s got to the point where it’s try and remove the teeth or put him to sleep. He’s in too much pain now and has lost a lot of weight. I think he has other things going on as well but to find out they would need to sedate him and made out he wouldn’t survive being sedated either, so I said no, as they’d told me they were surprised he was still alive with his heart irregularity. That was two years ago and he’s still here, if I’d known he was going to last this much longer I’d have gone ahead with the tests. As it’s the PDSA I have no choice but to take their advice as I can’t afford a private vets. I rescued him off the street so I didn’t purposely go and buy a cat, he just wouldn’t leave 😜 I don’t think they have your pets best interest at heart though and more, how much is it going to cost to treat them, and quite often they will just tell you to put them to sleep (happened with my cat, and a friends dog, they also didn’t treat my last cat for thyroid issues until it was too late, even though I’d taken him in 3 years before with the problems he was having) I just hope he gets through the op and recovers well, but tbh I’m preparing myself for the worst and don’t expect him to get through it 😢 if he does it will be a bonus. As I say, it’s that or put him to sleep. So either way I’d lose him. They’ve said they will remove as many teeth as possible in the time frame they have, and will do the worst ones first, and then move on to the others, but they probably won’t be able to remove them all and won’t be able to do X-rays to make sure they’ve got all the roots etc. I’m paranoid they will just put him to sleep and say he crashed on the table. They’ve told me to put him to sleep twice now, so they obviously think he’s a lost cause 😏 If he survives I’ll be looking into these treatments and see if any of them help his mouth heal up quicker. His is quite advanced now so I don’t think these on their own would help. Sorry for the essay.

Am i supposed to give all of these at the same time? Or do I trust the colloidial silver for 2wks, then the propolis for 2wks& so on and so on?? Or do I give those & the licorice root, omega 3 fatty acids, & the others all at the same time? Thx for all ur videos!

I mix 1/4 AVC in 3/4 water and give 1ml per day. It prevents crystals and could have saved me 2K at the vet had i known sooner. Maintains perfect pH in the cat's bladder.

When you consent to surgery you would’ve consented to the doctor doing whatever they dreamed necessary that came up during the procedure. And 3 teeth is nothing geez. Cats have 33 teeth. I have a cat that lost 31 teeth with only 2 left after surgery so get over it. 🙄

Now go on in to the world. We are moving on to the next patient" If that happened to me, I can guarantee I would be in prison for murder. But for a person as for yourself, maybe you need something such as that to teach you to keep your mouth shut and get your moral head plopped back on, showing some respect for life itself becomes all living things get one.

@@VeterinarySecrets thankyou. I was against removing teeth so tried every product and did alot of research. She wouldn’t allow me near her mouth so everything had to go in the food and if she smelt something she didn’t like she wouldn’t eat. It was crunch time either i lose my cat or remove them.

YOu had no choice. Karen Becker, another holistic vet, said that if it is really that bad and you want to save your cat, then tooth extraction is the last resort.

@@whatevergoesforme5129 no i didn’t and believe me i tried it all but to save her life they had to come out even though 2 different vets told me not to do it. I took her to a vet dentist not a regular vet and paid 3500 dollars but it was worth it

Take them off the dry cat food

We have a dog who ingested about 20 raisins about 18 months ago (she had to spend 2 nights in the doggy ER). Her blood work doesn't show any abnormal kidney values now but I'm hesitant to do anything that might adversely affect her kidneys so I'm interested in this too. As a reminder don't allow anyone to give your dogs grapes or raisins. My husband didn't know so now he just won't let anyone give her anything. I'm good with that.

They are my client’s:/ I can make suggestions if I feel they are open and sometimes they are but don’t take the steps and then kitties also love their “crack” and it’s hard to get them off of it. I do what I can without overstepping. Not that I don’t advocate for the pets as much as I can, but there’s a fine line at times.

Try turmeric. It did work wonders for 2 of my senior pets. My 14yo cat who lost her hind legs due to arthritis was able to walk again. And i also gave it to my 16yo dog who also lost her ability to walk. In a month's time and until the day she died of old age she was walking on all fours. Read about turmeric. It's a great alternative med when all else fails.

It’s prob Vit K2. That helps alot with plaque But it’s in oil so just put a drop in the cats mouth

We tried a couple different products, including a crazy expensive one from our vet, with no improvement in our cat's dental health. (We tried each product for several months each, so we really did try!) It's possible that our Maine Coon's dental issues simply aren't responsive to this kind of remedy. Maybe because his issue is due an immune response instead of bacteria or anything else present in his gums or mouth their teeth? In other words, just because it didn't work for our kitty doesn't mean it won't work for yours.

were you able to apply it to the cat, my cat won't let my touch his mouth and he's refusing to eat also and i can't forcefully feed him because he don't wanna get touched, we already been to the vet twice and it was so expensive and still didn't help and i don't have money to go again

I actually stopped using propolis quite a while ago now and started using plaque off daily mixing it in her wet food. She’s now a year and 7 months old and at her recent vet visit the vet said her stomatitis is basically gone.

Reading through the comments, and I am so sorry to hear about your precious ragdoll. 😢. I read on a blog that an hollistic doctor recommended someone's cat with the condition, Collostrum. It is called Nursemate asap with immune prime. It is cow Collostrum. BUT, there's no harm because its hollistic. The person the hollistic doc recommended it to had gave some to her cat, and it healed her cat's mouth in about 3 days. Collostrum helps with the inflation, as well as a boost to the immune system. I ordered it, and I did read reviews. One lady had said it was liquid gold , as it cleared away her cat's condition as well! I ha e been given it to my cat for a week straight. I have not seen much results , but I will give it a month 1/2 , I hope to see healing like these other woman have 🙏. I hope this helps!
