The brush us stimulating the nerve ganglion that controls the tail sending a sensory signal to the brain that the brain doesn't have a way to interpret. it's not necessarily painful, but it's a pleasurable feeling for the cat either. the sound is fucking hilarious though.
The cat is fine. That's a reaction to a particular nerve; when they get itchy there, they can't reach it, so when someone manages to get it, this is how most cats react. If it were angry, it would have probably turned around and scratched/smacked/bit them.
They can certainly reach that spot on their body.. From my observation they have something like a g-spot there... =) Most of them react really strongly, when you scratch them just above their tail..
@@dashafyahOnly female cats usually react in that type of manner, it is genuinely a spot some cats cannot reach. Especially older in age, it can feel nice. Depending on which particular side of that area, it can either be ticklish or like having a nice scratch.
That's Right. This cat is really enjoying its owner's affection. How else can he or she express this other than uttering sounds that sound like "yum yum yum" to the human ear.

Cats love to be rubbed. There is a certain "sweet spot" on a cat's lower back that really makes them respond to certain stimuli. When a loved one rubs and scratches your back, you respond to it. Sometimes you say "oh, yeah, that feels good' long and loud. This cat is doing the same thing. It's responding very well to its owner's affection. There's nothing like a soothing back rub that will make it all worth while, and that goes for both man and animal.
It's not choking! My cat does exactly the same thing when you scratch or brush her lower back - it's the only part she can't reach herself and she loves it! :)
This would be a great security device. Imagine an intruder hearing this sound on the other side of the door? I doubt they would want to enter then. lol>
