According to an indictment, Roswell police arrested Elvis Fistik for the crime and charged him with two counts of aggravated animal cruelty: one for shooting Patrick with a crossbow and for shooting and killing another cat with it.

@@qotsa3720 It's hyper sarcasm. The level of stupidity of people's comments is not taken at face value, but rather understood in a deeper context. A person who would have animal's ethical treatment as a focus, would naturally want to know what would cause people to do such. And the person's admission of perpetual ignorance, is parody-level.

A person expressing incredulity at the senseless cruelty of man isn’t ‘a parody level of ignorance’. People can both understand that some are capable of this behavior while not personally understanding the motivations behind it. I’m way more concerned about the kind of person who can personally understand and sympathize with a guy who shoots cats with crossbows.
