They didn't want to catch the cat. They were out there to give the appearance of trying while simultaneously making sure they failed. The cat has claws, it has teeth, and it would have used those filthy, contaminated weapons and then you're off for a rabies shot to be make sure you don't die. Fuck that.

Actually catching this cat was doable, it was within arms reach for numerous people. No one was smart enough to realize how small the cat was and all they had to do was grab it’s neck.

Yes! Always get rescues. They deserve love. In my humble opinion, rescues tend to be more loyal and loving than pure breeds obtained through purchase.
