All video creds to MLB Mariners ejected: Jesse Winker, JP Crawford, Julio Rodriguez, manager Scott Servais Angels ejected: Andrew Wantz, Rasiel Iglesias, Ryan Tepera, manager Phil Nevin
It never fails to crack me up watching the bullpen guys run all the way in to the infield just to fight each other once they get there. Why not fight out by the outfield wall and save all the worthless running? It is like doing a sprint/UFC biathlon in which you have to complete the first stage before doing the 2nd. LOL
@@leemananderson Why would they run all the way in to the diamond and then fight each other? THAT is what makes no sense. They are going to fight each other anyway. Why do all the running?
And, the bullpen players should all be fined significantly if they leave the bullpen area. Having all those extra players run in like that, only makes the situation worse.
At least someone noticed. Here is the explanation for that: Demasculination (femenization) of men is a process that has been kicked into high gear by the SPC in the last 15-20 years. This has been achieved phytologically by for example by fashion, and physically (raising estrogen in males). The Tyrants don't won't burly brave men that would actually fight back, so this operation has been successfully implemented, hence the pussification of a nation. SOunds crazy...its 100% true.
Amazing what a little unity can create. Even from a brawl that the Yapping angles started. Winker wasn't mad he just wanted the warnings to be enforced meaning the pitcher should be tossed. But no the Angels (in this case the Demons) has to start running their mouths
Upton gets hit in the head by a pitch, M's say it was obviously an accident, trout gets a pitch BY his head and Angels get pissed off.......then the Angels throw at Rodriguez up high, but behind him, not good enough so they hit Winker.... so far 2 mariners hit by a pitch and Trout gets his feelings hurt .....pretty much sums up the reason for this
@@bowler866 How are you calling trout a bully when your team were the idiots that almost hit him, also I don't remember Moore being hit. The fact that you are calling Nevin a bully when Winker is the one who started it by charging at our dug out because he couldn't take trash talking.
Not only that but the pitch that buzzed Trout was in the 9th inning, of a game Seattle led by 2 and Trout was the tying run. Plus, Swanson had been missing high and inside all inning. No chance he’d throw at him in that situation.
Winker at the center of this brawl, sparking the Mariners into getting their heads out of their asses, is about the only contribution he made to the Mariners all season.
Imagine needing to do that in order to get ahead of a team that had just come off of a 14 game losing streak and just fired their manager. Explains why they got bent over by Houston. Zero actual heart.
I was in the third baseline dugout suite when the brawl happened. It was the first one I've seen in person, and I was laughing the whole time. Especially when Iglesias threw the sunflower seeds. Some dirt was even kicked into the seating area.
MLB should just adopt the hockey fight mantra...2 players have a beef they throw down their gloves and have at it until one hits the ground. No one else needs to get involved. Eject/fine both players and resume the game. None of this 60 man brawl nonsense.
What’s funny after the fact. The announcers tried to act like it was all M’s going. Just astounded to see Suarez & Rodriguez (who they slandered) by the way, trying their best to put blame on them. Especially Suarez. What’s your problem with him ? No one can see what Julio’s suspension was for. But most ALL Angels coaches were guilty of stupidity. What a desperation move.
@@brianschaffer9220 * era. It's been a long time for either team. Angels at least won the World Series in 2002; Seattle still has yet to even SEE one...and won't the way Servais runs 'em...into the ground.
Why does broadcaster keep using names of Mariners players involved other than Angels pitcher. First hand to face was by an Angel and never said anything about it
The overwhelming number of 'fight' I have seen in the MLB are, as an old police colleague of mine once said; "more like handbags at dawn, than a real fight". However, I have been offering the following solution for years to those wiling to listen and it would put a stop to the deliberate targeting and hitting of batters in a matter of days. In the event that a batter gets hit, the batter gets one crack with the bat at the same spot/area he was struck on both the pitcher and the opposition manager. Job done. No playground fights, no more adults acting like stroppy 3 year olds. It wouldn't take long for it to stop.
Baseball needs to changes the rules. If you come off the bench, involve yourself (position player that was not involved) or out of the bullpens your automatically ejected and fined. Let the pitcher and the batter duke it out just like in the NHL.
It's kind of amusing that Winker and Wantz ended up having what looked like a fairly reasonable discussion about the entire thing after the brawl. I mean, yeah, Winker was pissed, but he wasn't going after Wantz or chewing him out. Everybody else was throwing hands (well, for a baseball fight they were) but it wasn't Winker vs. Wantz, it was Winker pulling an Amir Garrett and charging the entire Angels dugout.
Totally agreed, I love it tho, when the bullpen comes running down just to get some shots in also it be boring sometimes sitting in the bullpen just waiting for any kind of excitement to happen, but agree let's just get it on by the bullpen instead of running to the fight
Baseball players are the worst fighters. Somebody falls down and everyone jumps on top, then people come in from the bullpens and grab from behind.....Lots of yelling and finger pointing but I'm not sure a punch ever lands! Whenever I see a baseball fight I remember Pedro tossing Yankees coach Don Zimmer around like a rag doll. At least hockey players really fight for a minute or two and then go to the penalty box. Rarely do players actually come off the bench to fight. That leads to additional penalties, the same wth football players leaving the bench to join a fight. Maybe baseball needs a rule like that for the bullpen players. This really didn't look like a brawl though. Going to Red Sox/Yankee games years ago I saw some brawls in the stands that put this one to shame!
Well, well, well...guess who has the last laugh between these two ball clubs. Seattle is in the post-season and the Angels are going home when the season is over. Winker may be a liability to this team. especially with his lackluster offense, but this may have been the shot in the arm to to this club, setting off the fire within this team that caused them to have an incredible July with a 14-game tear-up in the American Leauge.
It should become an unwritten rule that the bullpen’s have to square up in the outfield. Just one from each side. Everyone else can watch. No need to run in. Just give the crowd 2 fights to watch
I remember these clear the benches fights when I played in high school. Within an hour we were laughing and making fun of it. I saw Winker laughing as his team mates pulled him away, they said something to defuse him. Nobody ever got hurt. Just a bunch of grunting baboons with acne. LOL
These days, too many hitters expect to crowd the plate and dig in with no consequence. Also, these pitchers are terrible at the brush back. Hitters are not entitled to not get hit. They are only entitled to a walk. This Era of hitters have no skill at avoiding. Brats.
Remember going to giants after buying safeway spread for tailgate out of Nestor van I think and brought Mike my cousin and giovaan my little cousin to the game
The Mariners lost that battle in the end. MLB gave Winker 6 more games off, Crawford 4 for those overhand rights, and Julio Rodriguez 2. The Angels only had their Manager and some Coaches suspended for a few games.
Shortly after that biffo, the Mariners got hot in July despite having a front line starter suspended for 12 games. The suspensions were served one at a time.
