Dude! He’s huge now! He looks super happy and safe. I swear I am so invested in this story. 😂 I should have roughly 40 years left on earth and it’s all but guaranteed at this point that anytime you upload a video with him in the video I’ll watch it. Good job, “not a cat person“ 😺🎉
Taz is looking so healthy and beautiful! You definitely have a place in heaven ( if it exists) for saving his life. The world needs more people like you!
Each time I look at a Taz video I am struck by the beauty he turned into -- and of course very adorable. He´s also so happy! What a clever game you created for him and he is purring he´s so happy. You are a pair of lucky guys having found each other!
Store-bought toys can be fun, but cats love trash. I've had the most success with giving them straight up garbage: cutting holes into and taping together cardboard boxes, making blanket forts on the couch, flinging hair ties, rolling paper towel tubes, trailing yarn around a corner... they love it!
I just discovered your cat, er hiking channel. I'm not into hiking so much but loving watching how your cat is growing and all the things you do with him
From a hungry little baby at the bridge to a fearless hunter taking down paper balls on the savannah. Taz is still the cutest boy ever. He's SO handsome! ❤ P.S. bottle caps/lids are up there with paper balls for some cats. ❤
@@--Taz-- I found Sonny on the side of a highway in Miami Florida as a tiny little shit that fit in the palm of my hand. 10 years later in Washington State she's spoiled and likes to play fetch with her paper balls lol. Oh and the scenery of your hikes are amazing!!! I need to get my lazy butt back into hiking again in the mountains and forest.
Wooow!!!! Hes a true hinter! It WASN'T coincidence he picked you that day 🤭 Ive own cat and they've never been this active or creative just lazy sleepy cats 😂 had them for years until they passed away.
I found out real fast that spending money on cat toys is a waste of money. My kitten plays with literally everything in the house except his toys. He will play with a tin can or ink pen knocking it around on the floor for hours. But toy balls for cats, he knocks around for about 5 seconds and walks away. I could give MANY other examples of toys he ignores and odd items he plays with all the time.
I recently saw the video how you found this cute little buddy your story is amazing definitely deserve a sub and like thanks for helping that cat ♥♥♥ it has grown so much :-)
Bottle tops, paper towel rolls (big enough for the prey kicking!), straws, newspapers, amazon boxes - and of course the best toy of all a loving owner!❤🐈🌹
Thanks for the ideas. As a kitten Taz was crazy for bottle tops. He likes straws and has an amazon box too 😀 He is not a big fan of paper towel rolls but it's been a while since I offered him one so I may try it again. I never have newspapers around the place but it's something he'll like, I can see that.
yeah. it's amazing what interests cats. you can spend all this money on actual cat toys - or just crumple up some paper - and they will play with that 99% of the time over the cat toy. My roommates cats are all like this. We all bought them (even cheaply priced) toys when they were kittens - but they absolutely LOVE crumpled up paper balls. :)
So cute, what a handsome boy ❤️ this reminds me of my cat. Literally her favorite toy is not any overpriced things I’ve ever bought her, her favorite things are hair ties, small yarn balls, and crumpled up paper.
My Norwegian forrest cat is addicted to peeps. She holds them down and washes them after she flicks them around and kicks them in the air, hides them under the blanket and digs them back out again. What made me laugh is when she hooked her nail in it and it stayed on her nail, the puzzled look alone made me laugh. Then she tried to bite it off, and was shocked at the taste 😂 i wish i wouldve video taped it.
I buy expensive toys, which my cats ignore. Ostrich feathers are the favorite around here. Moxie will capture one, and bring it to me, meowing in triumph. 😹
Another thing they love is the plastic tops of of drinks. You have got to try him on a marshmallow, not the small ones. Toss it down where he can see it and watch how he plays with it. They hook their nail in it and flick it, then chase it. They try to eat it too. Very funny to watch.
We save a lot of plastic bottle caps and just simply roll them hard along the floor in front of the cats and they love this simple toy. The bottle caps will roll on a curving path when they start to slow down and the cats love this "unpredictability." They also love store bought plastic springs, but the ad hoc simple cat toys are the best.
I used to scrunch my shopping receipts and throw it at my male cat, he’ll play with it. Then I read somewhere, it’s not good due to ink on it. So I bought him a few balls. He’s now almost 10 years old, he’s got one favourite ball that bounces .. this last week or so I don’t know where it is… this week my version of the roomba is not active, normally it would work away and the ball will reappear. I have that round one, the track one etc, it’s so unused, I had finally put them away. I have 3/4 medium sized cat tree in the shed. Bought a big cat tree that reached almost up to the ceiling. I promised myself this summer will get all their toys together, batteries needed for some, and test it out with them. If they still want it or not. Then off they go to the rspca charity shop. Enjoy Taz. Are you planning on taking him out soon? My male cat goes out for walks early morning or late evening.. although atm we’re not doing it so much partly cos I’m not as strong & there’re too many dogs around nowadays. My Princess doesn’t go out.
The dogs are an issue. What do you do normally if a person with a dog comes out of nowhere and there is no time to react really? And even worse when the dog is not on a leash?
@@--Taz-- It’s never happen to me, but I think I would grab him and cuddle him tight, until the danger is gone. Most of the dogs here are on leash. He’s the one that often saw a dog far away, the owners mostly know I walk him, so they always stay away from us. He will stay still, and watch the dog until it’s out of sight. Sometimes, he will just turn back, let’s go home type of attitude. Can you not take him out, somewhere dog free. I am sure Taz would love to go adventures with you. Make sure his vest is on properly, 1 finger as a test, that means he won’t panic and slip off & run away. Quickly scoop him into your jacket is all I can think off. Also choose times that dog owners don’t take their dogs out. M thinking once he’s used to his leash, you can take him on short hikes of the rivers. We will love it for sure. Love to Taz 💜
Hi, I just watched your bath tutorial. I'll have to bath myself Taz very soon and stress levels are rising 😰How long did it take for Kney to give up the fight and accept the bath? That's the most important part in my opinion.
A marshmallow is gelatin and sugar. It's safe for cats. Gelatin is actually a bi-product of cow, so it is healthy for them. Besides, they don't eat enough of it to make them sick, which would take them eating multiple marshmallows. It's very entertaining watching them play with it, and the discovery alone will have you laughing.
