While I wait for snow, there's still time for me to accessorize my Catalyst outside. In this video, I'm adding hand guards, a handlebar pad and a fuse block cover from Rox Speed FX.
Not only does Rox make the sled look fantastic, but their hand guards are among the most protective in the business - these aren't just for looks!
On my Riot, the taller windshield prevented me from using hand guards, and my hands have gotten quite cold on several occasions. The handlebar and windshield position of the Catalyst allows me to use both the taller windshield and hand guards.
They look awesome! Rox Speed FX makes excellent products in North America and thanks to Ryan for helping me pick out the hand guards and make sure they shipped out quickly!

I actually left my kill switch on the other side and then used the holes in the hand guard to make each side pretty even. It works either way. I guess it’s whatever is easier for the operator.

Great video. Do you know if those hand guards will work with mirrors that are attached to the windshield?

Yes, they will. It's close, but they do clear it. I have the tallest windshield (which includes mounting locations for the mirrors) and these are the Flex-Tech "Lite" hand guards.

Do the hand guards hit the taller windshield?

I wish I could say for sure. I have it on good authority from a very reliable source that the hand guards clear my windshield. Unfortunately, we still don't have enough snow to try it out. I think it will be close, but these should work. I have the smaller Flex Tech "Lite" guards, and am glad I went with those. Not sure if the larger Flex Techs would clear. One thing I forgot to mention is the video was how easy they mounted to the bars. I've purchased other brands that ended up sitting in a box, because they didn't fit right. So, I'm very happy with these.

@@dobber00 I have friends in the Fargo-Moorhead area and have been to the air museum several times, very cool place. Hopefully we both get some snow soon!

Verdict: The Flex-Tech "Lite" hand guards do NOT hit the windshield. It's really close, though. These hand guards are big enough to actually be useful, but still not too big for those who like having a windshield.
