I did it with the cat still on the truck, back side had a couple foot of pipe on it still too, and had pulled the muffler that was at the end of that pipe. I did it cold first time so I could do as long as I felt was good. Then I fired the truck off and revved it up a lot to blow the chunks out. There were some bigger chunks left that made their way to the exit end of the cat and wouldnt go through, but with my buddy holding a raised rpm, that kept the chunks tighter so I scould stab at it and make it break. Best thing I've ever see for gutting a cat out, and it will do it through a straight piece of pipe still connected to the cat. Good luck.

Although I am still always around, my phone went dead at walmart and when I plugged it in here at my desk, I forgot to power it back on until a few hours later. Hope it worked for ya, and if you did it just like mine, that thing is a hell of a weapon for killing the catalyst inside the housing.
