I love fishing with big shiners. Me and my cousin had 2 spots where we could catch the biggest shiners u ever saw. U could cast net them. But most the time we would try tiny hooks and dough balls of bread the cast net was a lil rough on them. But if u want true trophies that's what u use. Some of the shiners were over a foot long and may have been over a pounds they were so big they were hard to cast with 6 1/2 rods.

Bigger shiners definitely catch the big ones. I use the bread balls to catch mine most of the time too. Great technique 🔥

One more thing yeah good airiation is a must to keep them wild shiners alive and the golder u can get them the better

Yes sometimes. I use bread and cork or chicken feed and cast net.

Hi Norm, I saw your new underwater camera footage.. I had a brain storm for probably capturing a bunch of really cool underwater shots if you can rig something up on a foam life ring of sorts. You could hang the camera down through the center of life ring. Aiming in one direction I guess. It would be awesome to have a 360° view. But it is what it is. So you turn your camera on and then lock it in place in the ring. So it is underwater just sitting right where your gonna toss your shiner.. or cast beyond it and reel it up next to camera.. Then we could see the chase and the bite maybe. Looks like you can get a good shot about 2 ft deep i would think. Might be a waste of time but I'm sure you'll get some really cool videos. I might even try making something like that myself..
