I drove up to Santa Barbara, CA from Los Angeles for a fishing and crabbing trip, and ended up catching a huge spider crab! This is a catch, clean, and cook video of the crab caught and I hope you enjoy (It's the biggest crab I ever caught!)
Thanks for watching and please like & subscribe :)

Thank you! you definitely should! it's a great feeling when you start to catch things and just be out in the ocean too:) what type of boat are you looking for? I recently made inflatable boat comparison video that might help decide too!

I was kinda scared when I got that crab, it was way bigger than expected, took some time but eventually did.

Thanks for asking! No fee to use the boat ramp but there is a parking fee :) normally from $10-15

with this setup, how far do you make out from the shore that you consider safe?
@Fishing_Fables

I can normally go out 1-2 miles out max, I don't really need to go further for any fishing since I do more shoreline fishing anyways but if I need to, i feel pretty safe going further, it's just I have a small outboard motor so probably not a good idea to go far :)

nice! what is the blue pole beside the engine?
@Fishing_Fables
@Fishing_Fables Год назад
hi! thanks for asking, the blue pole is the handle for the electric trolling motor I'm using, it's called bixpy motor that runs on bixpy battery so it's good way to drift for halibut fishing or trolling slowly. Also good back up motor in case something happens to the main engine too
