I fish the big trd on shakeyhead and the finesse on a owner offset block head. Both rigged weedless. I'm not missing any fish and don't see why I'd need an exposed hook. They're so soft you really don't need to skin hook.
The ned rig is something I plan to build some confidence in this year. Like most people I like to power fish because it's just more fun but you have to be versatile and play whatever game the fish want. I know the dropshot is really effective but fishing mainly shallow ponds from the bank, it just seems like it wouldn't be the best finesse approach. I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel.
