As kids we learnt from an old chap who used a much simpler trick than that! He got an old glass sauce bottle with a neck opening of about an inch or more tied rope or good string around the neck then to a stick placed into the beach or sand well out of the water. Fill the bottle with bread then fill the bottle with water & place it on the bottom under the water & wait for the fish to enter the bottle! You can often see them from the shore darting in & out of the bottle. When you think there are lots in the bottle then pull the bottle to shore as fast as you can & nine times out of ten the fish will have jammed themselves in that tight that they can’t back out! We as kids would catch hundreds in an afternoon! And it’s a great way to keep kids entertained for a couple of hours!
Thanks Dave, that sounds like fun. I've seen a cool way to catch poddy mullet in Vietnam, they had a plastic tube similar to the size of a test tube, maybe it had a few holes in it to help it sink, they would put some bread mash in the bottom of the the tube and cast it out suspended under a float, the mullet would swim into the tube and pull the float under, then they would strike and wind it in, it was quite fun to watch, next time if I go I would join in
Keleb Watts it works good mate, just watch the bloody seagulls. To burley up I get an old plastic drink bottle and put a couple holes in it and put a handful of rocks in it and then a handful of cheap breadcrumbs and tie it to a bit of string or heavy mono. I have tried a few different hooks but found these ones link below to hookup the best. I have been buying hooks, swivels, beads off this guy for years. www.ebay.com.au/itm/142295785031
Sounds interesting, I might try this out as this part of the chicken seems to be left nearly all the time. Cooked or uncooked chicken breast? I'll try then both
I know Im asking randomly but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me!
@Zain Lewis thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
it casts no problems first time and can float around for maybe 10 minutes or so, sometimes you can cast it twice but don't try a big cast the second time
Geese Jonny can you do a short vid on snelling the hooks in the first place. I would have started at the top one and worked my way down to the end of the line. I'm not good at snelling but sort of fudge my way through.
Peter Chatman this is the knot I used in the video, I just wrap down 7 times and then poke it back through the eye ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oEchWg__HjE.html
You should tie 10-15 hooks on every 5-10 cm of line, then just put the botom hook in bread and wrap the rest around and last one you stab in bred over your main line, and there you go,easiest way to chatch mullet. 😁
So, i reckon, no trace or wight. gob up the the bread. make a paste and put that on the hook!! Launch that!! So, a free line. you gob it up , it will sink!!
@@jonnywaselectric I cast a treble hook the size of my fist all the time to snag quick mullets ......VERY affective ! Is that illegal in your STATE too .....let me know. ? I Get them on EBay all the time by the dozen from China .....very cheap ! if I can help......let me know ? I give you the item # .
This looks ridiculous! 😂 if your not going to use float you need a very very small hook with a small peice of bread! They only have small picky mouths give them a bloody chance😂
TideTrotter HD not all. Some are ginormous and can knock off half of a donut in one shot. I catch them on a 20ft telescoping pole with 6lbs test line and a piece of bread folded on a 10 hook(size optional, depending on bait used).
