For most you tube videos, I like to have them playing in the background while I am doing chores and what not. Yours, I save for when I can sit down and give my full attention to. I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time, but this is my first time commenting. I just wanted you to know I really enjoy your videos. I love the fact that you let us see your real life. I respect and admire what you do for your family. I have never been to Australia, but from what I have read and watched about it, I am sure I would love it. When I had problems with my garden soil, I put cardboard down on top of the bad soil, and then added fresh soil on top of it. That worked well for 2 years, then I topped off with manure last year. Good luck with your fall gardens.😊

I think I'll put a really nice thick layer of sugar cane mulch between the two soils and maybe turn it a little, not something I normally do, but try and break up some of that mushroom compost that I think was causing issues!

I've been trying, but its a bit of a learning curve, lol, the problem I'm having is getting her to figure out how is the most comfortable way to hold the yarn that she is hooking, everyone has their 'way' so I'm trying to show her how I hold it and then get her to decide if that's right for her lol

When you do the next big shopping haul you might want to point out what items or the amount of them that you are getting is different compared to your regular shops. Us "regulars" will know the difference but new viewers will not. Also again I say I like the ramblings. Do what you need to do to support your family....I love all the ideas and would readily purchase your branded products as your artwork is wonderful. I watch another youtuber from Australia and her garden is not doing very well because of the heat. Seems like the extreme temperatures around the world has us gardeners keeping on our toes. Heh, I got a whole bunch on clearance at best and less last trip, I have 4/5 colours and they’re just about all I wear now. I try and keep some that I only wear in Brisbane so they aren’t covered in dough and grease lol

Its on our goals, D loves to write and I've been working on art for things, its just a lack of time to see things through to completion atm, just building up income to pay for the big stuff we're doing, eventually that big stuff will be done and we won't need the income to fund it! :D

It’s been crazy here as winter turns to spring. Been on insulin for almost a month now as diabetic and feel so much better including cleaning and done 2 loads of laundry. Also it’s the Chinese year of the dragon too.

My goodness! That was a meat and 3 veg video! You've got so much going on at home and in your thoughts! My worry is that if you focus on too many things, one it will overwhelm you, and two, you may not be able to perfect everything. I would maybe focus on RU-vid mainly. Look how you have grown in the last year or so. I would also definitely promote your products! Maybe try certain things in certain seasons. I know here that I had 100 things going at one time. Nothing was getting finished the way I wanted. I stepped back and refocused on finishing each job completely before going on to the next. I'm still maintaining other jobs, but will finish them completely when the time is right. I also have good weather jobs and bad weather jobs. I will have to investigate patron and prime etc. I have no idea about any of them! I'm sure everything will work out for the best! You are all so talented! Have you RU-vidd how to get the roof in?

I both hate and love this for you. I hate that you're going through this stress, but i love that you're in a space for growth. You have talked before about having all these options for growth of your channel but also being able to go further between shops if you had to. If you hadn't had a good year last year with YT you would be in such a different space.

Stress levels seem at all times high 🫂 I was most worried about thr garden but now I'm starting to worry more about you 🫂 Hopefully the immense challenge of loss of steady income will act as a catalyst for new endeavors. My art teacher used to say, creativity emerges from the artistic limitations! That was quite a chat and have been following your story for some time. As a WA resident I am interested in basic recipe testing and pricing as there is a significant difference in costs due to transportation. I dont have small people at home. I am on town power and have air con. Our heat is in the mid 30's but the humidity is so high! I havent been able to get a lot done in my garden either. Give yourself the grace to leave the garden until the weather cools down.

Logos are both impressive. Maybe a different colour for the Dragon one - brown/rust/goldy colours. I do patreon for another RU-vidr but really feeling I’ll delete it. Just beginning to need the $s more. So many bills and life stuff helping out family members needs etc. I’ll try to remember to watch the ads all the way through. Can’t recall seeing one this time. I’ve been eaten alive my ‘invisible’ bugs at the moment. Got tablets that make me fall asleep and cream. Not conducive to getting much done.

Having been born in the north, i know there would be no way i could function in your heat. I totally sympathize with your trying to work in it!(Love the animal soundtrack, though!) My garden soil seemed to be contaminated, too! Nothing for two years. This year, i’m just buying fresh, farmer grown food and thinking about what to do in ‘25. It’s actually cheaper for me to pay someone else. So crazy! Lovely chat! You’re working on a plan which is always a positive! ❤

I always toss it up, the fresh fruit and veg I get is great price compared to the money I've spent on the garden, but because I go so intermittently, I really want to grow at least some things to fill in those gaps!

I'm so happy to hear all your financial/business plans. You seem to have bounced back from the job loss admirably and are moving forward. Good for you! Diversification of income streams can only help down the road, I truly believe. In terms of your roof panel issue, I'm sure you've already thought of this, but on the off chance you haven't ... have you contacted the manufacturer to get tips?

Yes, the 'easiest' solution is just to trim them hehe, which is all good and well, but very fiddly :D

It is isn't it, not really the ideal 'look' for the property lol, but we had to compromise in some ways and we can always make the outside of it fit a bit better at a later date!

We buy a lot from Amazon these days but only recently because I didn’t know about the free shipping as we have a prime account and how quick is there shipping it crazy compared to others. good to know about the link thing. Wish I knew a few weeks ago had to buy a heap of stuff for the puppa.

Maybe a stupid suggestion but can you use candle wax (thick lube) on the rails of the ceiling? To get it to slide the pressure on each side would have to be equal, maybe a ‘come a along’ on each end if you can attach it? Hick ups like that make me nuts, good luck!!

It has a rubber 'seal' that its also sliding across, to keep it snug, which you want, but at the same time lol. We had a discussion re adjusting some of the capping at the corners that might be inhibiting the walls sitting square so we'll try that, but worst comes to worst we'll have to angle grind a tiny bit off the length, which is just fiddly!

Just remembered Nyssa, did go to the website and had a look, realised did not come back on to say about Amazon. Is there anyway you can link Amazon to the website, would be useful. I do laugh when you say it's cooling down and yet it's still 38C ! In Ireland lucky in the summer when it hits 20C or just under 30. Lord knows what we'd do if it hit's the 30's never mind 38 - 40 !

There are websites that you can sell your photos. Shutterstock is one, but there are many more....just a thought. (not just photos, also art and videos)

Totally understand the lack of motivation when it is near 100+ daily. We are lucky to work for a couple of hours each morning and then another hour or two at the end of the day until the mossies eat us.
