What a low pressure day to keep the 56 suspended off bottom and super active. Unreal. I thought when a buddy of mine and myself caught 35 multi species in a weekend it was a lot. Wow.
Wow...56...that's mind blowing. Good job. Keep the videos coming. Its pretty much Ice out down here in MA. My ice fishing is done. Now it's time to start prepping for Turkey and fly fishing.
Would love to see you go back to that lake with the Garmin, Joe! Use a lot of chartreuse and pink and orange spoons! I bet you’d have 150 splake on the ice
I was happy with 15 rainbows in 4 hours yesterday. Wanted to stay longer but I'll take anytime I can't get. Had to get the power washer out when I got home everything was caked with mud from the roads. My sled sits on a rack behind the Jeep which doesn't help
One of my favorite ponds to fish! In 2019 I let my dad grab one of my flags and ended up being the state record at the time 11lb 2oz! Record ended up being broke 3 times that year!
Looks like you guys had a great day ice fishing! Did today make up for yesterday? Thanks for including us. Never caught a splake. Did you keep any to eat? What do they taste like? Or are you required to release your catch? One more question. Most RU-vid ice-fishermen pulling in a fish throw their line on their tip-ups. What if a big fish wanted to make a run? Or your line freezes on your traps during a cold day? Seems like it might work better to throw your line downwind on flat, bare ice/snow. I like it when a second fisherman winds the loose line back on the spool, and then retrieves the fish from the hole. Like a tag-team (maybe that's too much to ask of a Mainer?). Of course, catching fish on a short pole is even more fun (black, 1-inch-thick, insulator hole covers help keep the line from freezing in).
@@JoeHollandFishing Minndak outdoors did a video listing his top 10 ice fishing RU-vid channels. That's how I found you and have been hooked ever since
@@JoeHollandFishing Great videos. Been watching your stuff a lot as I just found you. I like this video (along with all the West Branch area vids) the most as I lived and fished up there from 2000-2015. Seen some people I know and many places Ive fished. Keep up the great work!
