I haven't figured out when to tell which exact generators will be on. But we were using basically heavy catfish gear with worms and cut bait!!

Good luck! I think we caught like 9? It was a busy day for sure. If you use red worms on a small hook the trout should be biting. Or of course some sort of in-line spinner or a soft plastic jerk bait.

@@thesaltygoogan ended up not having any luck the day I went, but the water was way too rough. I’m going to head back in a few days I think. Did you have any issues getting hung up on the bottom? Any specific weight/hook rig you used? I broke off like 6 times, but I think a lot of that had to do with how much water they were letting out.

@@alexgrigsby996 so the thing is, to my understanding that outflow is governed by a few things, the spillage over the main dam, and the generation of electricity. There are 3 or 4 turbines they run. You can tell how many turbines they are supposed to run but not which ones. This day they were running the 2 farthest ones i think. That way the water circled back to us so snags weren't a thing. If they turn the closest ones on its hard to fish far out. Hope this helps 🙏

I cant remember specifically the size, but if I were to put it up to my thumb, it'd be a tad smaller than the last knuckle/tip portion of my thumb. Lol I'm sitting here looking at my thumb rn 😅. The leader was a piece of mono l, I believe. 20 or 30lb.
