Managed to grab the last 2 days in October and the latter half of November in the hope to catch the amazing autumn colours in the Highlands of Scotland , wasn’t disappointed .. plenty to get around and see, Based in Kintail Morvich, “Nia Roo” The Cottage on a Loch, the best place for colour this time of year I think is Perthshire, just wish I had more time to explore the area, Killiecrankie visitors centre is perfect and also for nature with red squirrels and an abundance of birds being fed from the feeding station.. Faskally Forest is very enchanting which is where they have a festival of lights each October based on a certain theme .. Must say how lovely it is to see white sand on amazing beaches up here “Sands of Morar’ is perfect and a nice ride if on route to Mallaig which is where the Hogwarts Express arrives from Fort William, .. Castle Stalker and Inveraray Castle is a must see if anytime near to the area .. Driving through Rannoch Moor or Glencoe you have to drive through Glen Etive to capture the amazing scenery I’ve noticed over the past few years that Red Deer and Stags are less noticeable I think which is due to the popularity of the location due to James Bonds Skyfall scene,
