In South Alabama we love catching Bowfin also knows as the mudfish, dogfish, cotton fish, choupique and grinnel. We have these tournaments throughout the Summer and we love to catch them. This great fighting fish is found throughout the United States and can certainly put up a good fight on bass tackle. I decided to try my hand at catching this fish with the First Bowfin Club. It was a lot harder than I remembered.
