So glad you showed Lizzie breastfeeding the baby, when there are so many negative comments about breastfeeding in public.she perfectly demonstrated how there is nothing to be seen or embarrassed by and how you can continue conversations with others. I breastfed mine and it's one the most magical moments and favourite times of when they were babies x Well done Lizzie! Cammy, don't rush into the snip. Biggest regret of mine is being sterilised and I have 4!

Lizzy is a premium guest. She is such a wonderful farmer and Mom. Bonnie is beautiful like her Mom (and Dad). The placenta is important, but I don’t want a picture of it. They tie off and snip a piece out of the Vas Deferens. Your discussion really made me laugh. I nearly fell off my stationary bike. 😂

All the dust and dirt in clothes abrades the fabric and the clothes wear out faster. If they're washed regularly, they last much longer and it helps keep the colours from fading. Stop being stubborn, Cammie, put them in the wash. Great to see Lizzie (and Bonnie). Lizzie has such a great, down to earth perspective. Can we have her on once a month, please? Love the podcast. What a perfect ambiance to have captured for all of us to enjoy . . . I even belly laughed when you were describing how to get a siphon started - where you practically sucked your tonsils to the back of your throat . . . That caught me completely off guard ! The stunned silence after explaining the placenta print! 🤣 For future reference, you can fill the tube up instead of sucking the liquid through, moving the outlet end lower than the intake end is what gets the siphon going. The quiz is fun, I did pretty well, but of course not under pressure. (I also homeschooled two children, so I got another go at learning the general trivia.)

I can imagine sitting around your kitchen table with a cup of tea (I'll bring the soda bread!) and having a good time laughing and talking. What a great podcast. I'm with you Cammy. The whole placenta kick is strange to me too. But I also agree about with Lizzy about taking it digging a hole and planting a tree in the hole with the placenta. It would have been Bonnie's tree. ❤

Am howling here at lizzy about the different things that are done with the placenta…love you Lizzy just say it how it is…am surprised at Cammy being a bit put of with the placenta considering he’s a sheep farmer and see’s this every day during lambing…🤣🤣❤️

I'm with Lizzie, I think the placenta is very interesting and she's also right in saying how important it is as it helped them develop for 9months. It's all natural Cammy! Come on, you quite easily help ewes birth lambs. Nothing more miraculous than the birth of your own child.

That quiz really gets you going even just watching! If you're lucky getting questions that suit you, you could be getting 10 right in close to a minute. I still get a bit surprised people look at homebirth as something exceptional. Being Dutch (living in Scotland nowadays) homebirth is completely normal. In the Netherlands the standard birth is at home, hospital births are only on medical indication (high risk births for either mother or child) or emergency.

Loved the questions. So funny.

There used to be a show called The Actors Studio. They had a quiz with 10 questions. They were always the same so it was about learning about the actors rather than finding specific answers. I loved that one. Folks still had that moment of freezing when thinking even knowing the questions. Your quiz is cool and challenging because the questions cover so many topics but if it doesn’t work as you hope, look for that one for inspiration.

One of the grossest jobs I had was before I went into nursing. I had a summer job with the Freshwater Institute in 1971. They had tanks of snails in water with different levels of phosphates. Once a week (?) I had to siphon off the water to clean the tanks. I have never smelled anything worse than snail poop! About as bad as gangrene. Never, ever considered ordering escargots after that 💕💕

I sympathize with Lizzie, my home birth sped up suddenly and my substitute midwife had to find my house in the country in the middle of the night in a downpour. She made it at the end. I was fine, the hubby not so much.

I put my daughter's placenta under a magnolia tree. We also put my dad's kidney that he had removed due to cancer there. A placenta is kinda like an organ. It's a part of mum and baby. And yes, it's what gave my baby life. It was an important part of the pregnancy.

My dad had the "snip" (vasectomy) on Dec.31 & went to a New Year's Eve party that evening 😃💕💕

Iona the sex organs (ovaries and testes)primarily make estrogen and testosterone But the adrenal gland makes a little of each If remember rightly from school the adrenal glands continue production after the ovaries and testes peter off

For the quiz I think you should do most correct answered questions in _ minutes (set a timer e.g. in 2 minutes) or in _ questions (e.g. in 10 questions)

Loved this ❤ you're all competitive and not very kind about it. There are too many variables that make that quiz an uneven playing field but if no one takes it serious,it's fun. Lovely to see Lizzie and Bonnie. Great to hear Lizzie's take on birth and placentas. There used to be a clinic near us that did vasectomies who gave the patients t-shirts that said "Naval Human. Great juice, No seeds." Lots of them running around 😅

I usually aced multiple choice tests because of that recognition factor until I came up against a Physiology prof who was a demon for composing tests that could be computer-marked but you HAD to KNOW the right answer! 💕💕
