Cerebroscopio What in the fucking hell are you talking about? You clearly are not from either the US or the UK because anybody from the UK knows the influence of the States on UK music. Also Black Americans not "Africans" invented Jazz, Blues and Rock and Roll. Rock and Roll was invented by Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Elvis Presley. Punk was born in Detroit and NYC. Iggy and The Stooges. MC5. The Ramones. Television, Patti Smith. Even hardcore punk was born in the US. Instrumental guitarists Dick Dale and Link Wray influenced UK guitarists like Jimmy Page. I love music from the UK and UK artists, but the only thing rock related that was invented there was probably Metal i.e. Black Sabbath.

I think it's more that she's playing up to the English audience. Having said that I did feel safer walking through an English meadow than I do in my backyard (in the Blue Mountains near Sydney)

First of all, she was kidding. OBVIOUSLY. Second, you can't just call someone an irresponsible parent especially when you don't even know them. And especially if you're talking about Cate Blanchett! She's like one of the best people in this world - if not the best one. You should be thankful you breathe the same air she does.
