I don't know what it is about Cate Blanchett; perhaps, an unusually gorgeous facial bone structure, but: She is one of the few women where no matter how many wrinkle she accrues she seems as beautiful and captivating as a beautiful woman in her early 20s. Even more so, given with age comes a type of wisdom. Anyone else with me on this observation?
I'm thinking Cate Blanchett could replace Meryl Streep as the actress every other actress wants to be. The woman is crazy talented. Crazy glamorous, and crazy intelligent!
Noooo Cate is a legend by itself, it has no comparison or substitute Meryl, Cate has more acting tables because he trained in theater and that not any film industry can do it, I am in love from this talented woman, bright and fun
She's divine. Her intelligence, poise and supreme talent make us buy tickets over and over again. Perfect choice to lead the jury. Can't wait for another role like Carol that will win her a third Oscar!
Well, miss car person, you have not met her. Poise [nil], intelligence [perhaps]. As for purchasing 'tickets over and over again' you will be standing in a very short queue.
You know what I really love (aswell as Cate Blanchett) is journalists/interviewers that actually ask real questions. It's so damn refreshing to see and hear. Rather than the diet and fashion based questions
Carol is a great movie, the quality of the movie makes it a work of art, and the story, the director, the photography, the actresses and actors are all amazing!
Yes, it's so mesmerizing. Todd Haynes had 1952 down pat so brilliantly it was bone chilling. The way The Black Actors were protrayed were so true to life. The Security Guard, The Ticket Taker for The Commuter Train, The Maid, and the Couple walking in the Opposite Direction of Therese.
It's a gorgeous film And she should have won the oscar for it .and she is correct. I missed the film when it was first released but caught up with it later on a streaming platform.
"Women have become impatient in the best possible way" - my new favourite quote by Cate. And it fits to my favourite quote from Rose McGowan: "Being willfully obtuse will no longer fly."
Dude chill, damn. I don't think you understand the premise... Women are speaking up about being harassed/treated unequally by men, it doesn't mean that women hate men, we're just tired of gender inequality. It's not that deep.
ITHEREONETHATHASNT Are you mad because I quoted a woman that spoke up about her assault? My comment had nothing to do with 'men'. It didn't even mention 'men' specifically. I spoke about attitudes and opinions... You're a bit over-suspicious.
you cannot just say "that's just hollywood". sexual assault and unequal pay should not be a norm. that's the equivalent to a woman being raped by a man and saying "oh well, boys will be boys" or "she was asking for it".
I honestly believe she is the GREATEST Female actress in the history of film. She is a complete actor. And is a chameleon. Wait till you see her in the Lucille Ball movie.
It's so easy to find out if the girl you have a crush on is also into girls: start talking about the one and only Cate Blanchett and wait for her reaction and answer. I tell you every lesbian is into Cate i guess
she is highly intelligent like wow the manner in which she explains everything is really profound and philosophical yet not above our heads, its spoken in a language you understand.
Carol had the same feeling of “Breakfast at Tiffany” It was romantic, beautifully shot (gorgeous cinematography), and well written. It was a beautiful film.
I love seeing her interviewed. She is SO effing smart and articulate! Not so much in this video (the subject matter is too serious for humor), but she is also FUNNY and very quick witted.
You know I've been pouring over Cate videos in yt and there is always at least one who would point out that she is intimidating. Dude, go watch her oceans8 interviews and other funny interviews. Sure our queen is intensely intelligent and eloquent. And asking shallow questions would be an insult. But she is incredibly goofy too. I love both sides. Such a role model. Now an actress may not be an ideal role model for everyone, but listen to her for 2 minutes and get blown away.
Thank you for accompanying the written piece with this interview. Well thought out questions and balanced discussions. Appreciated on the questions around Carol, and I completely agree with Cate - I’ve seen Carol numerous times and it was deeply impactful.
panjoyce right? Deeply impactful is a perfect definition. I left transfixed! The performances blew my mind but that music? The script? I was pissed it was completely neglected at award shows
@@CoachingHigher and it wasn't even nominated for best movie or Tod as best director when every single person that has watch the movie knows that Tod's vision it was part of the reason this movie it wasn't just a movie. And also, this was the best film of the year. A lot of press and experts said that. Except for the "big awards" experts. Anyway, those were the same that gave Gwyneth Paltrow the oscar for Shakespeare in Love the same year Cate was nominated for Elizabeth
Everytime I watch her new interview I think it is the best I watched. The true is, everyone of her interviews is a lecture for me. Learning experience for me, always.
She’d be invited to dinner at my place anytime! Such rich, meaningful, heart felt and intelligent thoughts flow so easily from her. Oh the stories she could tell!
If tomorrow is the end the World that's what I want. To see Her mesmeraizing eyes and staggering smile to hear Her overwhelming voice. And after that I could die happy.😁
Love Cate. Ever since I saw "Carol" and later sat 30 feet away from her on Broadway in "The Present" (went twice) I've really developed such an admiration for her. Brilliant, intelligent, fearless, beautiful, just extraordinary. Beautiful person on so many levels. Thank you. 😊❤💗❤
Cate is a legend! Gorgeous, extremely talented, incredibly strong and articulate! Class and elegance!!! Amazing love and family! No scandals. Best Actress of our generation! 🤗🤗
She’s so talented, beautiful, intelligent, and she seems like she’d be a hell of a lot of fun to hang out with! I just love her, and I love her work. I’m a big fan!
"We will but offend, we can but fail. Art is a subjective thing and there's inherent ridiculousness when they're trying to choose the best in such a diverse array, of a series of exceptional films." Cate gets wiser & as beautiful as ever as the years go by.
I truly and seriously fell in love with Cate in the movie The Gift, she is so necked emotionally and true to herself that it's impossible not to love her. She one of the best
If i ever met cate i would be able to die happy, she is my queen, i worship her as the goddess that she is, if i could even just be her freind i would be perfect... i need nothing else but her.... i guess you can say im obsessed
The world would be a better place if it was filled with Cate Blanchetts. Such perfection. It would nice to have someone like her in one's life ❤ For now, I'll just try to be content knowing that someone like her exists ❤
if i watch her, listen to her forever i won't look away, i am soooo fondvof her and her acting, voice, accent, anything and everything about her. wish her the very best
so "carol" didn't make it in the box offices those days but now it's a cult movie. it's like cate's pattern, she does art, most of her movies are not blockbuster but always cult movies, and people always watch them later, along the years. Very interesting thing what she said about Harvey , he didn't want to promote it!! love her so much!
Love this interview, shows her true character and personality and feels more like a Melbourne Aussie than someof the other interviews I've seen.I know many of my fellow Melbournians are so proud of all Cate has done since her career started.A great Aussie export for the world to appreciate.
