The way Viola speaks is so intimidating but also so captivating. Like, if she was my teacher I wouldn't dare to speak a word in class because I'd shiet my pants but also because I'd want to pay attention to what she's saying. Because it sounds important. Idk, just my thoughts.
Cate y Viola junto a Meryl... son las tres actrices mas grandiosas de esta epoca, que delicia es verlas actuar... Viola se merece este reconocimiento y más
My respects to Viola Davis and my congrats to the great Cate Blanchet who recognize the extreme talented Viola. I would add Charlize Theron and Monica Bellucci to any cast and you would have a magnificent group of actresses everyone would be eager to see working together. I would.
Thank you on behalf of the community for the right words, deserving praise and kindness. Two monumental performances this year between these two titans.
Cate Blanchett praising Viola Davis is so heartwarming.🫠 I love to watch extremely talended women giving complements to one another. Such a well-deserved award!❤️🔥
"The Woman King" got so little media buzz, I wasn't expecting much from it, but from the opening scene it blew me away. I am generally not a huge fan of action films because what I really love is drama, but Viola Davis brought such depth and gravitas to the role in a way that vital and genuine. For me, this film is a big as Tar and Everything Everywhere all at Once. Truth be told, I saw all three and it was my favorite of the group. It really deserves more Oscar nods.
Viola Davis is so powerful because she cares because she's talented & gifted, and because she was born for such a time as this. Her strength & and femininity inspire me.
People should stop being so defensive and argumentative about Viola or as a matter of fact any actor or actress speaking about their struggle and the struggle of other's in being recognized and acknowledged for their hard work and success in the film industry. They are passionate about their careers as we all are about our own careers. How about taking a minute and listening to what is being said. I thought her acceptance speech was really good and an important message as to why she and her husband along with their team created JuVee Productions.
Me being a Black Woman myself I am tired of these speeches. Viola Davis has had a great career and I am offended that she felt she needed to make this Speech. Cate Blanchett is brilliant and I certainly hopes politics won't take away her OSCAR this February ✨💜
@@mlw9195 The burden of proof is on you. You're making the assertion that Viola hasn't been given enough opportunities to play diverse roles, so it's up to you to prove your point.
@@Gmez759 No matter her success, she's constantly complaining that she and every black person is as oppressed as if it were the 50s. She's an A list actress winning Oscars and starring in TV shows and on magazine covers and writing books. But racism is still ruining her life. A film of hers isn't number one? She literally blamed it on racist audiences. I'm tired of it.
@@Gmez759 Not sure what the first sentence is saying, but of course racism exists. But she's among those minorities feeling it the least. She complains on behalf of herself instead of people actually enduring it.
