I thought the flywheel housing is part of the engine block. Is the flywheel housing a seperate part for interchangeability for various grarboxes? How different are clutch housings from each gearbox?
Alex Flywheel housing is just that, a flywheel housing, It couverture the flywheel, it’s not a bellhousing, cars have bellhousings, just as the front of a truck trans is not a bellhousing it’s a clutch housing
@@63galaxie61 bell housing and flywheel housing are the same thing. Look it up. Bell housing or bellhousing is a colloquial/slang term for the portion of the transmission that covers the flywheel and the clutch or torque converter of the transmission on vehicles powered by internal combustion engines.
