I am 67 years old and I have been a Hendrix fanatic since I first saw him play guitar with his teeth on top of the pops 1966-ish, as soon as I was 16 I went out and bought a large headstock Strat (which I still have) I can honestly say that nobody (any of the impersonators) has ever got anywhere near the masters clean overdriven sounds, he made a Fender almost sound like a Gibson with its richness, you have such raw power here, anyone that's tried to get this sound with an old Marshall amp and a Fender guitar - well you will get halfway there but to control it and make it useable without making your ears bleed is another thing, the very best overdriven sound available IMHO is obtained via a Fender guitar, it is unfortunately the very hardest sound to obtain, you my friend have it! Amazing that you are keeping Jimi's legacy alive, you are really are very special, please keep it up
Shame on earth you have only 2k subscribers you deserve at least 100 times this. Truly amazing sounds, was listening to some of your cover and you always blow my mind. You’re the best at it
I ve got a recording of this somewhere and in it Mitch breaks a skin and quickly replaces it. Have you got captain coconut or trashman or peace in Mississippi in your repetorie? There's so much Jimi! Even within the same song, listening to numerous live versions of the same song you can hear him pulling out different feelings and modes. There was a time I thought it was endless noddeling but every note seems intentional when I listen now.
Some people never ate plantation Mississippi greasy catfish, but playing Deltablues like they know what itis to have a natural people darker than blue feeling in life ?
Experience eating catfish at a shot gun hooch drink no air condition joint in the backwoods on Saturday night.Washing your body in Muddy water.Thats the blues. The true blues guitar player Experienced that stuff.Peopl getting fame off other folks lifestyle 😮😢
Imitation is the highest form of flattery; can you do better? What about all the ones that put Jimi down for playing white music, even though he could lay down the blues as good as the best? People thinking they were better than he was, like Albert King, when they couldn't hold a candle to him. Jimi didn't find fame until after going to England where the blues was on a pedestal, while in the US it was dying. Even then they could not praise Jimi for beating the white man at his own game. Now you want put people down for celebrating the man
Hard Time Killing Floor all over the world through all ages...... All the peoples of the Earth have known rough times. Think it was fun being a Roman slave 2000 years ago, a thrall to the Vikingr 1000 years ago, a peasant to the Chinese nobillity of the Han Dynasty, a captured European woman in a Middle Eastern Muslim Sultanate harem in the 1600s, a coal mine worker in Germany or the British Midlands Dark Country in the 1800s, a serf to the Russian Tzar and Nobles in the late pre revolution 1800s, a present day low caste in Mumbai, , a child lady boy sexworker in Shanghai or Singapore, a native South American under the rule of the Spanish, a First Nation woman in a reservation in the US, a homeless in LA or a poor man in the Delta..... even today? What´s the difference except the colour of people´s skin? The human condition is universal to us all,- and people´s souls everywhere connect with the message of the blues. Don´t be too eager to deal out of a sense of exeptionalism, entitlement and offense. Don´t segregate and divide,- embrace and rejoyce....
