It’s always fun to fly a new aircraft - but it was super cool to fly one that had entered service only 5 days earlier.
Join me as I fly a brand-new Cathay Pacific A350-1000 from Amsterdam to Hong Kong. I was luckily enough to be flying in luxury in the Cathay Pacific Business Class.
This Cathay business class review covers all aspects of the Cathay Pacific business class service including the seat, inflight dining, the Cathay entertainment system and of course, the Cathay cabin crew.

Another great video Dennis. Flown a Alaska Airlines 737-900 on its first day of service (and also my first time ever in First Class) in 2013 and the next time I flew Alaska three years later it was another 737-900 and it had been in services less than 3 weeks.

Personally at least, it isn't. These days I find that things that are advertised are not particularly good. Better to do your own research, you'll find hidden gems.

Another great video Dennis but I'm sorry to say that I am immensely disappointed with Dashlane! I've signed onto them (on your recommendation) and have received nothing but absolutely dreadful customer service from them since joining! Immensely frustrating!

Great video , I have a question about this 1000 variant with Cathey ,back in Jan I was on the way from HK to San Francisco, during take off , the plane interior started shaking really bad , I can see the overhead cabin moving , and a strange gasoline smell , really scared me , cabin crew said it’s nothing to be worried about, have you noticed anything similar?

Just recently flew both the Cathay Pacific A350-900 (Brisbane to Hong Kong) and A350-1000 (Hong Kong to Tokyo Narita) and was incredibly impressed with both experiences. The seat is the most comfortable business class seat I've experienced so far, with plenty of leg room. The food was great and the service, on the whole, was excellent. I would definitely fly Cathay again (hopefully for a much longer journey net time so that I can enjoy the experience more). I'm a big fan of your videos, Dennis!

The advertisement appeared to contain private info. If true, I hope Dashlane protects info better. I also love Cathay Pacific. However, IMO, the flimsy newsprint menu is not a collectible. Which is probably why they downgraded it for people like me who always keeps the menu...even on Emirates First.

Americans refer to the main course as the entree. In the UK an entree is a starter. Entree comes from French meaning ‘to enter’ and therefore should refer to the course before your main.

Another enjoyable and informative report. Thanks for showing the menu at the end. Most vloggers tend to show the menu so quickly that one can't read it. I like Cathay Pacific's service and this new A350 but as I travel alone, I would be upset if I couldn't get a window seat. As always, take care and Happy Travels!

Thx @DennisBunnik, since I moved to HK (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DVjvdPdMfO4.html), I make it a point to fly the 350-1000/-900 for routes that are available. But I would say that the 777-300er J-Class seats are wider. Tradeoff offcourse is the Jetlag.. tough 1st world choices ;)

Dennis--a big help- That new plane aroma is intoxicating. We reveled in a nearly new 787 Dreamliner to Sydney in United's Polaris Class. Quick--how do you compare the A350 to Dreamliner? And how about Polaris Class to Cathay Pacific Business Class? Thanks.

You missed the only important features of this airplane. Humidity, cabin altitude, noise translates to sleep. This is what is important on long flights. Nothing of importance was mentioned on this video

Excellent review, mate! My very first flight in business class was onboard Cathay Pacific (A330-300 PER-HKG) so this airline has a special place in my heart and is even my favourite one so far. Next month I‘m flying with Air Canada and SWISS, also for the first time in their business class. I‘m on tenterhooks for those two flights! 😃 Btw, for me as a Swiss, your pronunciation of „Bircher Müesli“ at 8:43 made me smirk! 😄

I personally would easily choose Cathay Pacific over Qatar any time. The reason is they goes straight from HKG to Europe, larger seats than most airlines, better on board service, better food. And the best service on the planet if something goes wrong. They really take care of you like no other airline I have experienced in my almost 40 years of flying internationally in business and vacation.
