I cannot thank you (and everyone else involved) enough for all your incredibly professional and informational videos. I tested for the CNA exam in Southern Florida a few weeks ago and passed. I feel I passed not only because I took time to pay attention at school, but also these videos as well. They were wonderful refresher tools, and they gave me the knowledge and confidence to pass my tests. I appreciate immensely the time you have taken to do this for all of us. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!

Patty thanks more a hundredfold! I took the CNA prometric exam for the first time and made it a week ago ( September 2022) thanks to your videos and your online book that you gave me . This book is gold for it gave me the guidance on how to choose the right answer and it worked for me.The skill s I performed were range of motion, urine measurement, and catheter care. You are the best
@@NotStrxwbxrry I sent an email to her and she gave me directives..I got the email . from reading comments under her videos , that's where I came to know of the book.Sorry, can,t remember the email!

Hi Miss Pat just to let you know that I passed this skill (and written as well) today. The 2 other skills were ROM (shoulder) and the UDB. Your videos were very helpful and i like the way you explained the rationale behind the "scoot and turn on your side" . I'm confident to follow them than what my school has taught me. Keep up the good work coz you're a blessing for those who are taking the test.
I came here just to thank you for your videos! I took my CNA test today and passed the first! I only remembered your image and voice doing the skills! One of my skills, it was catheter care. thank you for your excellent work!👏👏👏👏
Thank you for refreshing my memory. I took the test 7 years ago and stopped working due to a high risk pregnancy. I take the test tomorrow. I'm excited but nervous but I got this!!!! Thank you for these videos

Thank you so much for this videos Ms Patty!!! I passed my written and skill test, Your videos are so helpful. I was able to perform all the skills perfectly. I recommend watching these videos 1 week before your test every day until your skill test. You will memorize every step and won't forget.
Thank you so much Ms. Patty for doing these videos, I had this skill, emptying the catheter and range of motion. I passed them after not practicing these skills since May. Thanks a bunch.
That's Awesome! We are so proud of you! Congratulations and best of luck in your new career! :-) Donations gladly accepted if you want to pay it forward once you begin your new career!
I want to say thank you sooooo much I watched your videos everyday in my free time for the last month. Yesterday I passed my CNA state test . Thank you again.
Congratulations! That is AWESOME news and we are so happy you found our resources helpful (the FREE online Test Prep would have helped, too!)! Best of luck in your new career!
Reviewing skills for my test tomorrow! I live in Idaho, testing in Idaho. It’s amazing how limited Idaho CNA’s are to other states. Our testable skills are very basic, but if you work win a clinic or hospital, you will need additional training for specific skills like catheter care or emptying a urinary bag.
Congratulations! Great job on passing your exam! We are very proud of you and would love to welcome you into your new career! We would love to give you your official congratulations! Like and subscribe to be notified when we go live!
Thank you for these videos. I passed in Michigan but I did had to switch up a little because we switched to HEADMASTER IN April but these videos were still helpful. THANK YOU AGAIN Ms. Patty for your time

MISS PATTY I HAVE MY DKILL TEST TOMORROW. I WATCH YOUR VIDEOS EVERY DAY I HAPPE I PASS THIS. SKILL TEST BY THE WAY YOUR SON LOOKS JUST LIKE YOU BY GOD BLESS YOU
You make it so easy to understand because of your routine or introducing yourself and using the privacy blanket . That's what I needed in my life .. routine routine works 💖 thank you and blessings to you
I passed omg i kinda want to take the book from my class back and ask for a refund 🤣 your video's were right on point. Thank you for doing these videos @4yourcna
I enjoy these skills video's & recorded demonstrations very much!! Thank You for trying to help people to learn by visually showing what's involved & we're to be doing. I'm going to be pursuing LPN finally, and although i have some higher random level skills & knowledge\training, I lack in some of this basic, yet vital & critical patient care. One thing that has struck me though as I've watched, the mannequin probably weighs little in comparison to real human beings and are far more awkward and some can be downright difficult or uncooperative, combative.....These are absolute best case scenario with a stellar patient which doesn't happen very often. Even if they are an ideal patient who will work "with" you, it's a struggle to transfer them or turn them, so what then? That's why I wasn't sure how realistic these video's are as this is a best case situation that im questioning would prepare brand new workers for what they'd better be capable of. Another video, an additional man stepped in to hold the mannequin up on her side while a back rub was performed. Well isn't he dandy? Where is that extra person going to appear from in a real-life nursing care facility scenario? I appreciate the learning and being showed how, but it's how realistic these tasks are set up, that I'm skeptical in the lack of realistic depiction. Did not show how we are to physically lift the person for some of these video's, or how we manage them without a convenient spare man standing right there. I'm honestly just trying to give well intentioned feedback as im trying to learn in realistic standards and i hope you understand where im coming from. Im still taking away a lot in the learning process as some of these things never applied to my assigned home health residents and it was actually higher level demands, but the basics are fundemental in preventing infection, injury, illness, worsening conditions, while providing comfort, quality of life, and basic needs of compassion, all of such that all life have a right to.
I would say you have a point, however these videos are meant as a tool to strictly learn the scenarios to pass for the CNA skills exam. I feel as if any course aside from the skills will prepare new CNAs for the possible difficult and realistic scenarios that they will come across while working. Training at a new facility and learning about their patients should take care of the realistic difficulties that will come with the job.
@@Sephushx she missed some critical steps. In Va they say you have to put the bed rail up before you go to the other side & she forgot to wash the pt butt.
I thought that touching the bed before washing your hands after a skill is an automatic fail? Because your dirty hands are not allowed to touch the inside of their bed?
The very last thing you will do before you leave the room is wash your hands. Touching the bed is not a problem - you have the patient's germs on your hands but the patient (the CAUSE of those germs) is still in the bed too! Hope this helps!
We wish you luck and encourage you to enroll in our FREE online CNA Test Prep course. It is packed full of lessons, interactive activities and test-specific information to help you pass the state exam. You can find it at courses.4YourCNA.com!

Thank you for your comment! All of our skills meet current testing guidelines and reflect testing scenarios (care plans) that the student will be presented with during testing. Best of luck!
This is a good tutorial but as an aid i must say there is not enough time for this, maybe one on one, but never in a nursing home not to mention combative patients.... advice to aids with passing yrs you learn tips and tricks ! Good luck
Please be aware that the care plan dictates the specific actions that must be taken - in a clinical setting AND for the exam. It is important to perform the skills exactly as indicated in the care plan. While I agree that in clinical settings time management may be an issue, each step is important for the patient's health and well being. Thanks for your comment!
You would then move the patient using the method indicated in the care plan (draw sheet, segment method, asking the patient to scoot toward you or lift their hips, slide sheet, etc.). Everyone is different and will have a different level of ability. Your care plan will give you information on how to work with THIS particular patient, based on their level of ability and conditions. Hope this helps!
I am a caregiver for my mother and was looking for a video to train new PCA's. First, the catheter doesn't sit up that high and the legs need to be bent to reach where it really sits. So this may be helpful for someone passing an exam using a dummy but not helpful at all for the real life situation
That's Awesome! We are so proud of you! Congratulations and best of luck in your new career! :-) Donations gladly accepted if you want to pay it forward once you begin your new career!
Making sure that the bed was raised and using good body mechanics was very important when I was taking my CNA class. I will be taking my Prometric exam soon, do they focus on raising the bed and putting side rails up when you are working on the opposite side of the resident?
This skill is performed according to current Prometric testing standards and scenarios. You are never required to raise the bed to a comfortable working position during the exam (it is not a graded checkpoint) because not all beds in all settings are able to be raised (home care, assisted living facilities, low-income nursing homes and convalescent centers may not have adjustable beds). If you did want to raise the bed, it would be done before you put on your gloves so you don't contaminate your gloves by touching the unclean bed controls. Don't forget to lower the bed at the end of the skill (automatic failure) - the patient expects the floor to be right where they left it and may fall if the floor is not where they expect it to be! Siderails are not required for the exam and their use is not graded, which means that you must provide safety during the skill regardless of side rails. Ensuring that the patient is always in the middle of the bed using the technique in the video will satisfy safety requirements. Thank you!
Morning... I'm a Home Care Provider and have 2 questions. 1 shouldn't the nurse of changed her gloves after the 1st cleaning and replaced them with a clean pair while drying? And 2 won't the chuck slide with the Client when the Nurse is sliding the client from one side to the other causing it to bunch up underneath the Client?
