And I thought her singing voice was sexy.... This is the first time I've ever heard her speak... So soft and sweet with that English accent... such a cutie... I feel like I'm 11 years old again.
What a fucking badass. I really respect her. I do not wish to compare them artistically, because they're not the same at all. But she brings Kate Bush to mind for me. This is the reason: here is another lovely young slip of a woman from the UK, with a beautiful high-pitched voice - someone who fits our culturally approved version of femininity to a T. Representing the fact that to be a woman is NOT to be a doormat. To be a woman is to take hold of ones artistic gifts, if one possesses them, and use them to spread light and happiness, make LOTS of money, and to unceremoniously dump morons who try to take a piece out of you on the curb.
Ironically, she is still working in the industry ...and in fact you've probably heard her music in the last 15+ years, it's just done by other artists.
He is a knob. She is a fish out of water, but a beautiful fish out of water. Her management should have known better. To put her in that situation, unprofessional. But any right thinking man will want to marry her, she is sensational. A beauty with brains.
Yeah, Rick often made a complete ass of himself on this show. I'm a huge fan of historical radio and TV broadcasting, and am admittedly a non-PC, old-fashioned guy; but Dees always made me cringe on this show. Anytime he had a beautiful woman on the couch, he'd get pretty creepy and leering. Pissed me off. I'd be thinking at the time, "You're better than this, man."
...I saw this LIVE, when it aired, and it caused a HUGE ruckus!! ...Milli Vanilli were on the single "All Or Nothing" when this aired, and were STILL a million-selling act; they were 4 months into the "lip-sync" controversy coming out...but, NO ONE knew of the s-xual allegations! (1:03) ...Cathy was VERY bold to admit it, even as a new Artist, herself....(0:44)

God,she was incredibly hot. And seemed very nervous too. One would think that a woman whose career involves performing in front of people would not be so nervous.
Well, look what Dees put her through! Having to talk about ferchissakes Milli Vanilli wanting her for sex! I felt so sorry for her when I saw this back then, and still do. I like Rick and all, but damn... he had ZERO tact or empathy.

I'm smart enough to know my limitations and, unfortunately for me, you're right. Maybe I should have said "I know who I'm forcefully picking up against their will as soon as that time machine is finished".
+Steven Rounce American here My father side of the family is from Britain west side, mom's from Sweden. I need to visit Norwich/Norfolk if the girls sound like this, I could listen for hours to a women with this kind of voice and this refined in manners. Do they still grow women like her in Norfolk/Norwich?
I reckon it went like this,Milli said "fuck about she's bang tidy I'm gonna have a crack at it" to which vanilli replied "fuck off she's touring with us you can't!" So Milli says "yeah but if I don't get in there first you will! I know what your like you dirty fucker!" Vanilli replied "true,true" so they both came to the conclusion "shit or bust we'll both have a go at it then!" And the rest is history.
I truly wish Dees had handled this interview better. He obviously has no empathy, or any sense of "people" that a good interviewer really needs. I like Rick for a number of other reasons, but he treated women pretty insensitively across the board on his show. I remember this show, "Into the Night," and I liked it, but even as an old-fashioned guy myself, he often made me cringe when he'd interview "beautiful" women.
I hated Milli Vanilli from the very start.... Now this video made me hate them more.... Cathy Dennis to jump into their bed? That's crap! Why do they just make love between the two of them.....

+S Lo I totally disagree. In what way does it show she isn't bright? You can't write and produce music like she does and not be very bright. She may not like interviews is all, she is no airhead.
