This is so fascinating...the polar opposites in humanity... the predators and the rescuers. These lifeguards do such a great job and should be so proud of themselves.
@@dn6576 especially from all different parts in the world where it’s not as frowned upon for men to do as they please. Not saying it’s okay, but It’s ironic cause when foreigners go to stricter countries and do something wrong by mistake that’s allowed in their home country the government of the country they’re visiting throws the book at them and says “there’s no excuse to break the law” are the same people who go to other countries and are outraged when they’re arrested or accused of sexual harassment/abuse because in their country that’s “flirting”. Hypocrisy at its finest.
@@hugh_mungus0184 not saying it’s okay that your friend got assaulted but in Egypt women who aren’t covered head to toe are basically seen as prostitutes. Personally I just wouldn’t go to a country like this out of fear of harassment. But that’s what happens when countries look at women as property. You can’t really do anything when you go to a country known for men taking advantage of women because their justice system won’t see a problem with it. I sure as hell wouldn’t walk alone anywhere without a man I trust from home in a place like that.
This is my first time seeing this show. I love how seriously the lifeguards take these incidents. There's no place for perverts like this in any society.
When I was a kid, some old guy slapped me on the bum. It creeped me out so much that I started to only enter the water with my father close by. Doesn't sound like much of an incident, but even today, I sometimes recall that incident thinking "Why are people doing this?" Can't imagine how victims feel that were forced to experience worse.
No matter how dramatic, big or small you or others count the event as it doesn’t change the validation, trauma and the unfairness. Stay strong I’m sorry you had to go through that. ✨
It doesn't matter how severe it was, it's still sexual harassment and you have the right to stand up for yourself! I'm so sorry that you had to go through such an experience.
God I can’t stand filth like that. I was in nightclub security during uni and there are guys who do this every day. They feel like it’s their right to touch another persons body. Old women would always grab my junk and said it was “just fun”. Touching a persons privates against their consent is disgraceful.
i need stories! I've very rarely gone to bars and have gotten poked once but nothing more then my back and once some guy asked to pull his pants down in front of my friend but that's about it
When Glick and Mario were talking to Singlets over the walkie talkie about the guy in the first clip, after Singlets said "oh not again" that shattered my heart. It's actually incredible some of the stuff these lifeguards do and witness and are apart of. Can't thank them enough for always doing their best honestly.
The first guy should be charged with sexual assault because pedophilia sadly isn’t a crime IT SHOULD BE! And most of them were still children under 18 some of only 15
It’s amazing how laid back the people are in Australia. If that happened in England, the weird dudes would be chased off the beach by a bunch of angry blokes, or probably a lot worse.
I can tell you that when someone gropes you underwater, it is terrifying. I was 10 years old swimming at a very busy and crowded river and my mom was on the bridge overlooking the river. I wanted to show her that I could swim all the way across. When I was 3/4 of the way across, a man grabbed me by the crotch from behind, and pulled me under. I kicked and screamed till I got free, and he continued to swim towards me. I panicked and try to climb up the rocks at the bank, I slipped and tore my thigh open on a sharp rock. I was crying and so upset when I got out of the water and the blood was everywhere. People rushed to help me, and I looked behind me and he was already on the other side of the river, running away. My mom wasn’t watching me anyway, and didn’t believe my truth. I will never forget that day, I’ve been afraid of lone men ever since.
Makes me proud to be Australian to see these Australian men taking such firm action against disgusting sleaze bags. So glad to see that we have good, strong men in Australia that are protecting our women and children.
Its just too bad there are so many laws protecting the sleaze bag. I guarantee if they announced on the bullhorn that man has been reported for touching children there would be 100 volunteers to go get him off that reef.
These are clips from several different seasons of Bondi Rescue put together and definitely not in chronological order. The clip with Maxi and his sunscreen lips looks to be from an earlier season, like 3 or 4, which was like 2009.
@@paulbradley705 That might be, I grew up by the ocean, but what I meant, is that because of the lifeguards, if I'm being harassed, or something, I know that I can get help from the lifeguards, I don't have to handle it alone.
I feel so bad for the gropers wife wanting a normal life and having to live with that shame, but also angry that she’s just as guilty by not acknowledging it openly.
13:29, imagine being a cop coming to arrest a dirty perv, only to have a kid come and ask if there is money in the water lmao. I would have lost it at that stage that's 11/10
Serena he may have been thinking of drowning himself drowning would be beater then going into custody i bet hey scream abuse to him at the station i do not know if the man was local or tourist i bet they were racist to him
I really commend the lifeguards training and awareness that they immediately believe the reports, pay attention/continue watching the person, and often involve the police instead of just handing off warnings.
@@laffin_out_loud in America they’d probably just wait until something serious to happen then charge him .. then he’d probably get let off if it was his first time
Props to the officer who didn't tell the kid who was joking about what was in the water. Clearly he wasn't aware that a pervert was in the water. That officer didn't tell him that. Very well done for him.
This is crazy! About 10 years ago, my friends and my sister's friends were hanging out at the beach and an old man started taking pictures of us. There was nobody around but you could tell people were starting to leave as soon as they saw a creepy old man taking pictures of girls. My father(ex-marine) was at home it was about a 15-minute drive and as soon as he got the call he came in 5 minutes. Let's just say if the police didnt come my father might have served some jail time.
I’m lucky to live and work in Bondi Beach and I can tell you that in real life these lifeguards are just as amiable, charming and hilarious as they appear on the show.
@@timothywait9457 not even close. These guys have trained up to where they are now since they were young kids. They are a lot fitter than the average cop.
@@serenitysmith352 i mean the helicopter was kind of pointless. like, there was no scenario i could think of where the chopper could land or get close enough to let someone out safely. thething thy ended up doing with the jetski was quite obviously the right thing to do
@@jurgnobs1308 It may have been for an emergency airlift in the event the man was injured or went under the water. From the reports he was drunk & was on a rocky outskirt, it was most likely just a safety measure if anything.
Nah. For him to do that at Bondi, knowing there's cameras and witnesses, he's 100% a repeat offender. She's used to defending him by now. She knows what he is, and she doesn't care.
really do appreciate the hard work these lifeguards do on these beaches. Everyone makes jokes about the job because of baywatch, but after seeing this it gives me much more appreciation for them
LMAO @ the last guy. Did he think he could just sit out there like Ariel and the police would go away? He could've just apologized and at the worst be charged with public intoxication and inappropriate touching, but instead forced them to call in the cavalry and treat him like Interpol's Most Wanted Fugitive. So embarrassing.

I’m sorry as dark as this episode is I can’t get over the conversation with the two boys “There a shark in the water? “No” “A whale?” “No” “Money?!” “No” HAHAHAHAHAH
What I love the most is what the lifeguards do to protect beachgoers from perverts so kudos to you guys for always doing whatever it takes to keep beachgoers safe
As someone who was groped groomed and sexually harassed at the ages of 9 14 and 15 these people make me sick I’m so glad that there are people out there willing to stop them
getting groped when you’re swimming is genuinely so disgusting and scary, you literally don’t know what to do because people around you can’t even see it most of the time…
I think documentaries like this are very important because a lot of people either don’t realize they’ve been violated or don’t feel empowered to report it
7:25 They literally kicked that man for nothing….. off of a random allegation, all because he layed near to a woman? even tho the entire beach is packed and setup that way? Super draconian.
I love how much work they put into getting that last pervert. I wish Bondi lifeguards could patrol all the concerts I’ve been groped at over the years.
Bondi's lifeguards do everything they can to keep the beach safe for everyone, check out PART 1 if you haven't already! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PBA2tEcYEv4.html
I could be upset that people like that exist but I'm just super happy that the guys on Bondi care about it and that they do their best to make it a safe place for everyone. Really cool
Actually this is a disease, lots of people have it, but this behavior is not justifiable, there is treatment for this and if u can't control yourself you shuldn't go to places
Its nice to know the Lifeguards are aware of all the possible hazards to people on the beach or in the water! They monitor and take actions when needed .
A JOB FUCKING WELL DONE. I'm telling you that's exactly what's supposed to happen. You can't go around grabbing people in public. Either learn to act right in public, or have your rights and privileges taken away because you can't follow rules designed to protect other citizens. You shouldn't be out harassing others and ruining public spaces for everyone else.
You gotta applaud how much work they put in to getting an absolute scumbag creep. Good on the lifeguards and the police for that. Goes to show how much they're willing to do for the safety of the people on the beach 💖
On the third one I was laughing bc of how the kid with his brother was asking why they had to evacuate he’s like”is there a whale ?” “Is there something in the water?money🤭🤭
People are a lot more polite there than here. You get caught groping women, God forbid children, and you'll be dragged out of the water and probably beaten half to death. No need to report it to the lifeguards when people are like that lol. Police probably wouldn't take you in so kindly or calmly either.
I would honestly don't blame the ppl. Disrespectful/Creepy individuals need to learn their manners and sometimes they gotta learn the hard way or be publicly punished.
whilst what these guys do are truly awful, best to let the professionals deal with it. Dishing out vigilante justice often gets innocent people beaten up.
that's amazing how the lifeguards and cops respond to people like that. if people in authority were that vigilant all around the world there'd be a lot less of sexually motivated crimes.
A dude sitting on a riff in the water causing multiple police forces a boat and a chopper to appear is quite hilarious but at the same time sad. Lot of precious resources down the drain.
Yeah, there is really not appropriate respons here, what did that man cost to get, and for a lesser offense of grubning. Yes it's bad, but 2 police men waiting until he got cold or bored would have done just as well really. 1 helicopter with 3 people, one Boat with 3 people, 4-6 police officers on the beach and 10-12 lifeguards for at least 1-2 hours, really don't seem to be worth it.
dude mighta gone to jail or a couple hours, or had to pay a fine or a slap on the wrist, something simple, but he runs from police, causing them to call in all sorts of vehicles and help and made the situation much worse for himself. Brain must be tiny
No, the cops made it worse. They cleared the area and then acted secretive when inquired about, leaving people scared to think its sharks. Then they were told the water is shallow to walk up to him yet they thought calling a boat into shallow waters would be the genius solution. They should have just kept their mouths shut and have the water cops walk out to him like they first thought.
This just goes to show how effective the police system is in Austrailia, if this happend in the US, they probably would have left him in the water, resources are not so freely utilized as this.
What are you on about? US officers probably would’ve just walked up and tazed him or hit him with pepper spray or something. They wouldn’t need that many resources to begin with
That is not effective policing. Tens of normal police, a police boat and a helicopter for a drunk pervert. Don't get me wrong, the country I'm from (UK) would have likely wasted even more resources on this kind of scenario, but it's definitely not effective policing.
im so glad there is people like this willing to kick perverts off the this place. this world is disgusting and these people right here, the ones making a difference by protecting women or possibly males they dont even know? shows their is still faith in humanity !
I'm from America New York to be exact.... There's always a few idiots that got to ruin it for everybody. You guys do a really good job on the beach I love watching your videos. Especially love the kid that asked if it was a shark and then a whale and then money he made me laugh that was nice. Be safe.
Yes and this person claiming women are making it up is a fine example of an American male. He would be out on the beach protesting for this creep’s “men’s rights!!!”
Saw a guy on my local beach when I was having lunch break, he sat next to a girl in a bikini and put a towel over his lap..sure enough his hand went under the towel and the towel started moving up and down. Twas not a magic trick..🤮
always a bittersweet feeling when this type of thing happens. pretty bloody putrid of people to do this but it’s always rewarding to watch them get caught
I don’t know why but it’s so REFRESHING to see the police doing their job correctly (yes I’m American) for a second I thought they were gonna bash his head into the rocks when I heard a forced arrest. They didn’t?! which took me a second to process.
@@jennifermassie7227 You’re clueless. America is a different country with diversity and many different cultures along with that comes disagreements. Police get shot at, stabbed, ambushed daily. That “nice” Australian officer would either have to adapt or be hurt or worse in the states.
I love that the police are in the tower with dress shirts, tactical pants + gear (their unsual uniform). Then you pan over and the life guards have tops, boardies and no shoes on....also uniform 😂
One of them is for everyday street patrol, the other is designed for us to quickly be able to get into the water to save someone, also the cops do have a beach patrol uniform that you can see earlier in the video
