Caught on camera: Grocery store shoppers get a surprise 

I had a complete stranger pay for my groceries that was behind me in line. When I tell you I cried and was so thankful. Little did that man know all I had was 12 dollars to feed me and my son. I hugged him and just cried. All he said to me was everyone needs help time from time.

When you see someone begin to start crying after their groceries are paid, you realize just how deeply they've been touched. It's a moving video.

I know exactly how they feel, i was in a grocery store and my bank card would not work. Frustrated because i knew there was money in my account, i was about to leave then a couple behind me had paid for my groceries. During this pandemic this made me cry. Thank goodness there is more kindness in the world than evil.

I have done this several times and it always feels good!! One time I bought two older frail women their breakfast in a restaurant incognito, the waitress started to tear up. I was just paying it forward. God is Good.

i wish i could do stuff like that for ppl. it's kinda sad that when we see or receive random acts of kindness, we're left speechless and in wonder at WHY that person was nice to you. i hope this lady gets rewarded tenfold for her kindness.

A good deed is it's own reward. That heartfelt joy it gives you is something money could never buy.

Years ago, there was a young mother with two small children in front of me in the grocery store check out line. She had a few days worth of groceries on the belt. When she want to pay with her debit card, it was declined due to lack of funds. She immediately began to sob uncontrollably. Through her tears, I could hear her repeatedly asking herself how was she going to feed her kids. I told her to take her groceries as I would pay for them. That was when the tears really began. She moved a few steps away from the counter so I could pay, but could not go any further as she was so overcome with emotions. The cashier was an older woman who came around the counter and hugged the young mother for a few minutes until she collected herself. She turned to thank me, but the words wouldn't come. She mustered the courage to give me a hug, and through that hug I could feel her heart racing and her body still trembling from the emotions of it all. I am pretty sure she could feel the same in me. When our embrace was over, I asked her to wait by the door so I could talk with her. I paid for my groceries while she waited. She told me her ex-husband doesn't pay her any child support and she barely makes enough money to cover her rent and utilities. Knowing that the groceries she had would only last a few days, I told her to meet me in the same spot in two days because I wanted to fill her refrigerator, freezer and pantry. She started to tear up again, at which point I asked her to stop as I didn't want people to think I was being mean to her. I got her to smile and laugh a bit. She met me two days later, and once a week for the next six months thereafter until she landed a better job and was able to fend for herself. Every once in a while, we are in the right time and place where we cross paths with someone who is truly in desperate need. The initial $60 I spent on food for her family was nothing to me, but meant the world to her. The money I spent each week on her groceries barely made a ripple in my life, but was a lifeline to her. This happened 7 years ago, and today she remains one of my closest, dearest friends.

This is one of my favorite things to do. A young couple were having trouble getting their card through, and I offered to pay. She refused and I don’t know which one of us were more surprised when I burst into tears. “Please, I don’t have anybody to give to.” She wound up hugging me and letting me pay. I’ll remember that one for the rest of my life.

A simple act of kindness can color somebody's life.

This is one thing I love to do each year. I have been so blessed in my life and want to do my part to give back and help others. As far as who I help, I just let God guide me to them. The reactions are always priceless and its an awesome feeling when you can make someone smile

Trying not to cry here! I have to say that it makes me feel good! There should be more people out there like this! I try to do this as much as possible!

A policeman in a drive through ahead of me payed for my food. It made me very happy that somebody had a good heart to help a stranger. Also a person in line at the coffee shop turned around and gave me a gift card for the coffee. People like this brighten the world.

Single Mum once here too..... I had 29p once left and my two year old son asleep ......I prayed to God for help and had faith.... My son is thirty two ... my faith came through... I worked hard and now can payback....... God is good 🙏❤️

I would definitely do this a lot if i had more money than i needed. Acts of kindness go a long way for someone who is struggling. It makes me happy when i can make someone's day and make them happy, and sometimes i even get choked up afterwards knowing that i helped someone.

We need more good people that do good deeds.

I had to live with my grand parents( drew ms) when I was 9(1963) because my father was over seas in the military, my grandmother told me" at the end of the day ask yourself what you did to make someone else's life better". I live her wishes every day

No one helped me when I was homeless jobless without family .all I had to eat was expired biscuits.i feel happy for happy people

This is simply amazing... and the way she does it is so selfless and is very tactful. Its just pure, I know she says she was nervous before hand, but you can see the kindness in her eyes as she does it. A beautiful video and a reminder that GIVING IS RECEIVING!

I was in a bad relationship and wanting to get out and drive back home(90 mins away) and was paying 5.64 cents in gas in change lol and a complete stranger(god) told the cashier “fill his gas tank up” I was driving a 2008 Ford F-150! I passed that on til this day if I see anyone needing a few bucks! The fill up was 56.90 God is good! 🙏

I use to do this, but kind of slowed down just a bit due to being cursed out by individuals not wanting their things paid for. I’m not sure if they respond that way due to me being a male or my race. Nonetheless, I’m just more careful and try to choose wisely who I decide to help, but in the end I did not allow them to change my heart, nor my character. Love this so much! ❤️
