The Liberal and NDP members behaved disgracefully and with disgusting disregard for the witnesses attending yesterday’s meeting. Shameful to see a government stoop to such low levels.

These misogynistic liberal/NDP women need to be voted out. I watched the committee meeting and it was absolutely disgusting. It was not about collegiality, it was about liberal/NDP game playing and covering up what Trudeau's policies are doing to women.
I wonder what the female MPs in the New Democrat and Liberal Parties feel about this. 11 of 24 MPs in the New Democrats are Female. 57 of 155 MPs in the Liberal Party are female. What are they doing?

Please, please, please do something. I have never been more disgusted in my life. Lib MP Anita Vandenbeld and MP Leah Gazan should be immediately thrown out of caucus for the revictimization of these two brave witnesses who represented and named many, many other victims including Indigenous. Yes, they each had their 5-minute introductory time but they had much more to offer on the subject. Due to the meeting having been commandeered by Liberal/NDP members, the witness question and answer rounds were shut down with the witnesses cast aside for the personal and political vagaries of the Liberal/NDP members whose actions were extremely insensitive and devious.
No, this is not about protecting women from "state control". Such a weak, lazy & emotionally driven statement. This NEEDS to be about protecting Canadians from 'State control' of every kind. The bigger the Gov't gets, the less freedoms the Gov't is willing to allow.
If the liberals and ndp are all about choice and erasing state control of our bodies, why did they mandate that you either get a vaccine or you can't work or even leave your house? That sounds like state control to me.

I also watched the complete meeting on NP & it was disgusting. I hope the young victim that flew in from California can learn to lead a normal life after what she has been through. The chair should have had better control of the meeting & the female Lieberal/NDP members are a disgrace
@@leoncardinal2035 Because she is a Canadian Citizen that had to flee the country due to her abuser avoiding prosecution and roaming free after untimely court delays. She is an expert an advocate for many Canadian women who's abusers went unpunished and runs a non profit group to help them. Very valid and well worth the expense to hear her speak, too bad our current leading parties MPs in the meeting would rather not see hear or speak any evil.
Just when you think the NDP/LIBERAL coalition has gone as low as it can go you see a display like this one. It's difficult to fathom how women from any political party could treat other women in such a despicable manner. Kudos to Michelle for bringing them to committee and attempting to get some justice for them. To the women who showed such courage and bravery to put themselves out there like that. I apologize on behalf of the government that does not hear, listen or care about your safety. Please know that their are people in Canada who see you, hear you and care about you.

Does Leah Gazan even know what she is talking about? She is so offensive and she attacked a victim of domestic violence for no reason, thereby re assaulting that tender soul. Why is she even there, I really want to give her some of the same guff, she should respectfully give her seat to somebody with some merit. I’m ashamed of what Leah did here and will email her.

The Liberal/NDP representatives have entirely lost the plot. To equate abortion ‘rights’ - or what they perceive to be the lack thereof - to the harm/murder perpetrated against women in instances of domestic violence is repulsive. My heart goes out to the witnesses. They have been re-victimized.

I will not denigrate the natural world by calling them animals, either. Real women show empathy, understanding and a nurturing spirit, whether or not they choose to have children. I believe he was referring to the woman who made an accusation against him of a sexual nature. He was re inforcing his "I remember it differently" position.
I'm not sure whose behaviour was more disgusting, Leah's or Anita's. Both of those MP's need to resign now. This was beyond disgusting behaviour. I am a Canadian woman, I am disgusted by this, they disgraced all of these witnesses and reaffirmed their testimony that this current government doesn't care. There is no excuse for this and saying sorry will not fix it. The Liberal MP accused the opposition of using this as a political tactic while dismissing the trauma that the witnesses spoke to and then bringing up abortion which was completely irrelevant in this situation. The NDP member said she was "experiencing violence" for not getting her way and only stopped talking when she learned the witnesses left the room. She was so self consumed that she didn't even notice they had turned their backs and had previously objected to what they were witnessing. This was pathetic, this was disgusting and these two members must resign. They need to be reminded that they work for the Canadian taxpayers, they need to represent us. If they cannot do that or are unwilling, step aside and let others (regardless of party) step in. They do not deserve to be MP's.
I cannot believe that these Members of Parliamtn dare to demean women who have come to committee to testify about their horrific abuse. How DARE they demean and diminish women who have come in good faith. Gazan, Attwin, Vandenbeld this is on you. Especially Vandenbeld who brought about this travesty. I watched this. You are ALL beneath contempt. How dare you, any of you, demean women who have been the victims of violent assault this way.
I'm going to take a guess and say there was likely some stories of trans people in women's spaces where they didn't belong and the Lib/NDP didn't want to hear that.

The actions of the Liberal and NDP committee members were the most utterly disgraceful events it has ever been my misfortune to witness. I am ashamed that we have so-called 'representatives' elected to and sitting in our Parliament, and I would say the same regardless of what party they represent. After watching the entire meeting, with the very difficult and deeply disturbing testimony given by the very evidently traumatized Witnesses, and then seeing the Liberal/NDP coalition very deliberately block the appearance at Committee of the two Witnesses. These two women who appeared as Witnesses, were themselves victims of highly traumatizing severe physical assaults, but also were speaking on behalf of many, many other women who have likewise been victimized. I have no words for the utter disgust that I felt, as the Liberal and NDP Committee members sought to shut down and dismiss further Witness testimony - difficult and tragic reliving their victimization by violent criminals. These MP's only goal was to block further Witness testimony and cover Justin Trudeau's ass. Their actions were callous, partisan, and the most utterly disgusting thing I've ever seen in Parliament. For the two brave women who appeared as Witnesses, it was heartless and despicable.. These MP's goal was to block details of the dreadful increase in severely violent assault of women. They performed a Grandstand CYA Circus to "protect" Justin Trudeau. Period. No words are dark enough for their motives or actions. Such people have no place in Parliament. They should resign. These MP's disgrace all Canadians.
