Cauldron Snout and Cow Green reservoir, upper Teesdale, Co. Durham. A second visit to this beautiful place, made sure I got the bottom part of the falls in the video this time! Music: Cold Blue by Astron
Hi John. I have tonight just dropped on your channel. I have to say I was transfixed by your shots over the disused mines of Teesdale and surrounding area. Having spent a lot of time underground at Nent Head in times of yore , the done gives a wonderful overview of the surface remains, not readily appreciated from ground level. And some of the sites I have never had the pleasure to visit too. Your careful choice of background music also helps to set the scene wonderfully. I hope you do some more!!
Hi Richard, thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I spent quite a bit of time at Nenthead too, as a member of the North Pennines Heritage trust, I was in the underground archaeology team - I didn’t know the first thing about archaeology but I was handy with a shovel and a wheelbarrow. We were digging through a collapsed area of Thompson’s level when the NPHT went bust, I never really got back into it after that.
