Enteral nutrition is often blamed for diarrhea, and a result, is stopped or slowed down.
However, the available evidence on this topic points to tube feeding formula being a major contributor. Instead, it is medications, infections, gastrointestinal disease, and fecal impaction that are more likely to be the cause.
