Someone requested this song recently. I love the contrast of creepy elements with really soothing elements that David Wise created. It's a simple piece, but genius nonetheless. Hope this recreation captures that strange atmosphere of eerieness and beauty.
The atmosphere in this one is incredible. In the middle of the song (3:24) I swear the atmosphere is so great that this could be in the original Blade Runner movie... Excellent job.
How have I not commented here before? This is goddamn freaking amazing. It captures the original pretty much perfectly while adding so many parts onto it. It feels like a true longer arrangement of the original; like what it would've been had it not been constricted by cartridge limitations. My only suggestion would be for the beautiful flute section (3:24) to be even longer and take some cues from David Wise's reinterpretation in Tropical Freeze. I'm also not a fan of how it kinda anticlimactically fades out at the end. It doesn't feel like a deserving ending for such a long and well-thought-out piece.
YOOO how come I just saw this?? You actually remixed both of my favorite trilogy songs in a row? I love your unique take on this one, and how it's not trying to be a 1:1 remix of the original song. You really nailed the cave sounding part in the beginning, unnerving middle section, and "heavenly" end of this song. Plus, adding your own special part after 4:50? I am in awe. Bravo, Andrew. This is brilliant.
The adding part is my favorite thing. The music naturally inspires these other melodies and I can't help but write them. Sometimes it's really hard to figure out where to put them, but in these ambient pieces with all this space, it's easy and fun ;)
@@andrewrecreatormusic3536 Glad ya had fun doing it! It really does make this stand out compared to the other remixes of this song. Also does this mean we can expect more ambient songs to be remade? 👀
I was just about to do my semi weekly listen and saw you uploaded this yesterday! I was just released from the hospital yesterday and very tired and drained, so I missed the initial release... But now I can enjoy it! :D When that flute/clarinet/high wind instrument came in, I near cried. I knew it was coming but, gods, it the memories of being young and not falling apart hit me like a truck. I'm a little emotional, in case you can't tell. I love your work so much. So damn much, man, I will never stop thanking you for creating these and sharing them with us.
Thank you for your comment man, nearly made me emotional too! If only just a few people get what you do from this music, it makes it all worth it. Why were you in the hospital If you don't mind me asking? I'm glad you're back home and hope you're feeling better/on a path towards recovery
@@andrewrecreatormusic3536 oh my, I just realised my reply never sent. I don't know why and I feel bad for not noticing sooner. Basically, I went to therapy for some hip pain and ended up unable to walk or stand within a few minutes of lady just trying to feel how flexible I was in my hips. Spoiler alert, I wasn't. At all. Lady was shocked I could still stand, let alone walk. Pretty sure that jinxed me. Anyway, the therapists called an ambulance for me and I was in the hospital for 4 days doing every sort of test known to mankind only for nothing to show up. My legs did eventually start moving again and I regained enough strength to remain standing. So the hospital gave me a walker, told me to take it easy, and then referred me to more physical therapy, this time for rehab rather than pain management. Start therapy in two days, hope it goes well. Felt good enough to go upstairs without the chair lift this morn (put there for my grammie) but am now dealing with muscle spams and weakness again. Clearly shot the gun too early. So yeah, there you have it. Very sad moment in my life :(
The one day I don't check my subscriptions and I miss THIS beauty? Aw man, wish I would have known sooner. Then I could have had it on repeat for more than three hours! ♥
I'm looking forward to summer when I am sitting in the dark outside and listening to this. Great as always. I have all your songs in my library. This one will be a nice addition.
I don't know what I'm feeling... Isn't nostalgic because I played most the DKC2 and this level song isn't the more memorable... Isn't fear, isn't ... I don't know.! Just Great Job.! It's a kinda mysterious, seems like a cave level in Tomb Raider... Possible u are running to a treasure avoiding traps and spikes... I like.! (Srry for bad English)
You my man are an amazing remixer. Your DKC and DKC2 remixes and are absolutely wonderful 😍. The style of those remixes gives that good DK feel and atmospheric mood, Love the stage artstyle and this remix of Cave Dwelling Concert as well 😊💖. The cave and river sfx gives it that nice atmosphere, I'll be looking forward for new Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2 remixes soon. Would you consider remixing these tracks from Super CastleVania IV (SNES). These tracks are one of my favorites: Dracula Battle Ascension to the Castle Pillared Corridor Simon's Theme Cellar The Waterfalls Rotating Room Treasury Room Ending Demon Castle Dracula
@@andrewrecreatormusic3536 Well i hope you try out Super CastleVania IV. It's an awesome game and a classic indeed, And maybe you'll do a remake of a great SCVIV track someday, Good luck to you my friend 😉✌.
So, I checked out your bandcamp and I noticed that it doesn't have all the music you have on the channel, while the channel does have some stuff not on the bandcamp page. Can I ask whats going on with that?
