Thanks for the flowers buddy! Yess RD 104 is a very reliable mic, I used it for quite some years. but there is nothing like the 575m6 in my opinion.

Thanks bud! I have to say, I rather refurbish or build something that I like, then buy it off a shelf. A local CBer that owns 2 new in the box ($300) 575 M6 was laughing at me when I told him about refurbishing a mic. He stopped laughing when I came on the air with a (parts mic) 115 bucks…

Thanks buddy! As we speak im working on adding a phone connection to the microphone, hopefully we will be able to play sounds from the mic instead of having to add noise toy into the radio

I should have Not mentioned contact cleaner, ( yes It is good) , apparently they never used cleaner on that mic instead seams like they used cooking oil because of all that gunk I removed from it.. Thanks for the flowers bud!

Thank you! If you don’t like the red color you can use a shell of a astatic 675 with the board of a Road devil. You will have to cut out a slot for the level switch on the side, is very easy Only one screw holding the board near the center.
