Notice too that Hacker (the puppeteer) subtly mimics her actions, as she's cracking up, just to wind her up further. I never realised just how brilliant and funny Hacker's puppeteer was.
I am same, this and I also love the one where his neck goes really long, and sometimes this one: 'what are you having for tea?' - 'goose.....geese' - so good
You can hear the puppeteer losing it... she not only is expected to keep it together but to stare into the dead eyes of a puppet while you can see/hear the person below cracking up.
It's just a very strange thing for him to say. It doesn't make sense and she never expected him to say it. She's a woman and he's a dog. Neither of them are men. And "innocent" as if they're accused of something. It's all just a fucking weird thing to come out of his mouth. That's why she laughed.
It was some sort of inside joke. One of their coworkers said "were just normal men. Innocent men!" to some cops as him and his mates were being talked to about being drunk and rowdy in public. It wasn't a random thing the puppeteer thought of on the spot.
I'll be real honest if you can make this longer version but with great audio it'll have more views than the other ones you get what I'm saying more views more better I can't even show this to my friends they can't hear it
@@AtlasCompleXtheProd I think she did say ice stars because the puppet says it too. She doesn't say "it" though, she just says "the ice stars did earlier".
I saw the puppeteer being interviewed and was asked about this. He said he was just quoting a film trailer he'd seen moments before. Literally just being silly for the laughs.
I heard the story behind this was that the puppeteer and his mates went to Leeds for a night out. They had a few drinks and at one point got pulled by the police for littering. One of the puppeteers mates was worried they would end up in the cells for the night, and told the coppers "we're just normal men", "just innocent men". Everyone cracked up including the coppers.
So... let me get this straight... the girl starts by pulling a funny face... the puppet says "I don't know why we're doing this".. and she says "Because the Ice Stars were doing it earlier" The puppet then says "But we're not ice stars... we're just 'normal men' "... which is in reference to a drunken night-out story that the crew were talking about before the filming... that triggers the girl to start laughing, so the puppet drops in another reference to the drunk night-out story "We're just innocent men", which triggers the girl to laugh more.... (I understand that "We're just normal men" and "We're just innocent men" was supposedly what the crew had said on the night out when accused by the police of littering....)
There's no drunk night-out story. Laura has confirmed that was just fabricated by people online, there's literally no context to this beside the ice skater thing. He just pulled it out of his ass which makes it so much funnier.
