That explains that... I thought it meant this: Someone controlling all CBC transmitters, in Toronto, since this is CBC Toronto, must have been calling all transmitters telling them to shut down.
The stuff that starts at 0:09 is SO 1990s!! "And now our national anthem..." Be honest, you all sang along to it. Not that this Aussie knows the words.. O Canada indeed. Loved the ending, to the snow pattern and all lol..
Surprised to see so much open space around the CN Tower in the aerial shot. Was that already "old footage" in '92, or was that part of downtown not yet built up, or filled in?
What happened to you video of the CBLT Toronto sign off from 1984, the one with With Glowing Hearts (1979)? I noticed that sign off has disappeared from RU-vid.
That would've caused everyone still watching to LOL, causing neighbours and children to awaken... to the playing of O Canada segueing into colour bars, then LOUD static. Most younger children are usually asleep past 9pm y'know, and in those days, it'd be ballsy of them to be up to witness this once-common daily ritual.
I'm still possessing the flashback of when I first listened and watched the "South Park" cartoon movie. I really hate to express it to you all of just how much of an insult this is to us fellow Americans and the Canadians. I'm still scoffing at Arnold Schwarzenegger in this caee, especially when he's not knowing that I, however, still appreciate the CBS "60-minutes" newsreporter: Scott Pely who has hounded Trey Parker and Matthew Stone. These 2 men are hard-core Satanists. They definitely had the "South Park" animation crew members scoff at/make fun of the Canadians. They practically insult every country in the world. Anyone can be bad enough to glorify their crummy sense of humor. I doubt that there would be another "South Park" cartoon movie distributed to the general American public.
