CBS: 50 Years from Television City (4/27/2002)

As of now, CBS Television City is now undergoing a 1.25 billion dollar renovation, and it is going to change. “The Price Is Right” is leaving this studio after season 51 starting in May with the final taping at the old studio which was Bob Barker Studio, and the season finale will air in the summer.

Studio 56! Went to a Late Late Show taping there in 2014, two of the very last episodes hosted by Craig Ferguson. It was awesome. That soundstage is much smaller than I expected it to be...

2017 will mark 65 years since tv city was opened. this year also marks the tenth anniversary of the breakup of Viacom and cubs.

Curious: why are the studios at TVC numbered as they are? Why weren’t the original studios just numbered 1 through 8?
