Hi guys! In this short video I demonstrated how to use the auto-hold ability of the Hioki DT4261 wireless, true RMS, digital multimeter. Auto-hold is an advanced method of holding the value on screen without repeatedly pressing the Hold button. It works based on a set of parameters and thresholds designed into the meter. The main advantage of this function is that for a specific function selected, once a new, stable value is detected, the multimeter updates and holds that new value on screen without resetting the auto-hold button. So, for example, you can just take a series of readings on several resistors while taking your time to document the results. Coupled with its wireless functionality and direct to Excel capability, it's even more convenient to document readings (links to this below). I think it's quite useful and saves time. But the operator needs to be aware of its limitations to avoid mistakes in the interpretation of the result. I appreciate your support. Thanks for watching. Stay safe!

Wow, thanks for this video, this is what I wanted to see since the 4282 auto hold is implemented differently

Hey, thanks. Na check ko tuloy yung isa ko pang Hioki. The DT4256 also implements an advanced autohold like the DT4261, in resistor, diode, continuity, DC and AC voltage (solo selection). In autoVolt function, however, it can autohold only the AC voltage not DC. But overall, not bad. I think the strength of the DT4282 was focused on data recording, high precision and accuracy.

@@ramschannelreviews salamat, ot sure kung ganun tlga , nag base lng ako dun sa review dito dimnsa you tube. Baka mali lng si reviewer hehehe, pero kung maganda ang implementation ni 4261 once auto hold is activated dna kelangan re engage

@@juancarlossandoval5628 yan nga din nasabi ng isang nag review ng UT117C na medyo mahal. Depende siguro sa features ng DMM. By the way, as I have mentioned in my review of the DT4261, its rubber moulding (holster) is non-removable. The DT4256 has removable rubber moulding and has the "smart" Autohold as well.
